I want mario kart and party for pc, imagine the multiplayer potential
I can imagine the mods that will go into it inevitably.

I'm only interested in the Wii U for now. I'd rather wait for the PS4 to get more games, and I'm still not over the PS3 anyway.

If the Wii U fails, Nintendo should consider going third party.
Here's an even better idea!

They could give up on home consoles and just focus on their handheld systems. Think about it. Every time Nintendo releases a handheld, it sells, sells, sells! The same couldn't be said for the GameCube or even the N64.

or even the wii, the wii was revolutionary in terms of gameplay
the wii u not so much

How was the Wii revolutionary? Just asking? other than it was originally called the "revolution"

It introduced motion controls that other consoles attempted to copy... unless there are good motion control things before the Wii.

That's why I said "good" motion control thingies.

@NSY: No.

@Magikrazy: Honestly, imo, Console Nintendo is far superior to Handheld Nintendo. While handheld Nintendo games sell better than Console Nintendo games in Japan, I do believe that the Nitendo consoles and their games bring in the bigger dough, and produce more enjoyable and interactive games. I mean, we saw what happened to Paper Mario when it was moved to handheld, we can see how superior Mario Party is on the consoles than on the handhelds, we see Mario Kart is definitely better than the handheld Mario Kart games, and don't even get me started on Zelda series. The only series that Nintendo thrives off of with the handhelds are with Pokemon, which I completely understand and agree that is a Handheld-only series.

Just, the handhelds don't have the memory capabilities as the consoles and thus the gameplay/graphics/quality are sacrificed, while the consoles have far superiority [overall] with those things. Plus, where would multiplayer games be if Nintendo got rid of consoles? There goes the $300 console that could easily hold your family and online gameplay with others in order to buy 4 $170 (total = $680, which is > 2 consoles), having to deal with lag and connectivity issues.

If the console dies, multiplayer basically dies with Nintendo. The handhelds are meant to be more of a single-player sort of genre. They usually aren't meant to be for more than one-player usage, and if they are, they are usually a pain to set up.

Of course, I think Iwata makes a good point that gaming for Handheld and Console are starting to come as one, and they really are showing that. They really are connecting their systems together in order to really get full usage out of it, and I think it's a great idea!

this statement is so wrong and biased that i refuse to read the rest of your post until you either explain this blatantly false statement or retract it

no, you guys are only thinking in terms of nintendo, which is really sad

if the wii u falls out of the multiplayer realm, there are other ways for people to play multiplayer other than 3ds. like, i don't know, every other video game system?

for you, maybe

you need to realize that most gamers (i.e. anyone who isn't a nintendo elitist) are perfectly happy to play on other systems

Meh I prefer if they stayed on the console so we could still play it if the Internet goes down

what are you saying here

local multiplayer doesnt require an internet connection
