But they're not Nintendo, so they fail anyways.
DF, give in, you lost this argument from the moment you posted that
there was multiplayer before nintendo, they didn't copyright the ability to have multiplayer
nearly (if not) every current system has multiplayer available in some form, so your point is invalid

Uh.....I know that already. I was just being a Nintendo elitist.

exactly, just try to back up your opinions, other wise this thread is just useless :P

I am a loyal Nintendo fan, but I did win a PS2 at a competition when I was 8. Ironic because even though I love Nintendo, the PS2 was the first console I actually owned.

ps2 was arguably the best console I ever owned
but perhaps tied with wii and dreamcast
(I'm comparing to them each to others I had at the time, not to current systems)

Meh I prefer if they stayed on the console so we could still play it if the Internet goes down

what are you saying here

local multiplayer doesnt require an internet connection

Local computer multiplayer? I'm pretty sure that does. And if it does require another piece of hardware for that to happen, no, I don't count it.

Well, that could malfunction like the Internet connecdtion too. Ever since my Internet went down for, like, a week, I don't really trust these things lol.

besides its better to have variety anyway
but under prime conditions, pc is superior to consoles in everything except split screen
pc on split screen is madness, it only rarely works out alright

I understand that PC gaming has superior hardware, but I'm a narrow minded Nintendo moron so I'll always prefer Nintendo consoles (though some PC games are neat)

any nintendo game can be emulated, albeit with varying success regarding anything wii or later

Yes, and for me, they run at painfully slow-ass speeds (cuz my computer isn't strong enough) and keyboard controllers to cope (we have only one Xbox controller and I let my sis use it). And I'm content with my all-in-one.

understandable, most emulations suck
for me a pc is all in one, its everything, not just a gaming platform

you really have no idea what a LAN party is, do you

None at all.

okay well basically it's where you set up a small, self-contained network and connect all the computers in the area to this network, usually with wired connection

this network can be connected to the internet, but it doesn't have to be. if the internet malfunctions for whatever reason, this smaller network is still active. the computers won't have internet access, but they can still connect to each other because they aren't using the internet as a highway to connect to each other and instead connect (more) directly. which is (usually) faster

tl;dr internet isn't necessary to connect computers to each other

I don't think I have one of those (I'm not tech-savy enough to deduce that completely though), but I do have an LAN storage thing where people around the house can store their things.

Yes, and that's the first online option of gaming.

If the console dies, multiplayer basically dies with Nintendo.
this statement is so wrong and biased that i refuse to read the rest of your post until you either explain this blatantly false statement or retract it

I was talking in terms of Nintendo. Did I say any of what I said affecting any other consoles? No. We were talking about Nintendo strictly at that point of time.

well then that's okay for bmb, but that doesn't excuse you of nintendo elitism

Sorry that I like Nintendo better than the rest. That's my personal opinion. I've tried Xbox and PS before, and though I do find them okay (at least PS; Xbox is just...no), I just pefer Nintendo over them. I would not go out of my way to bring down Xbox and PS just because I love Nintendo.

And who are you calling elitist when all you are all about "PC master race" in any console argument.

the pc master race is nothing more then an attempt to bait you for entertainment.

I have personal experience to prove it, too.

I admit I am pc biased, but at the same time, its not a console, so its being mentioned was only a side discussion anyway
