What would/will you name your children?

Well, Tabuu is just being narrow-minded as heck, but I honestly don't see people with some video game names (unless they were just EXTREMELY obscure) would be picked on JUST because of their name. Like, I know some people that have cool names that are video games, and they are just cool because of it. Like, they accepted it, and they actually really enjoy their names.

You should not dictate who should and shouldn't be allowed to reproduce just because you don't agree with their decision. If people are ridiculed because of their name, then the parents should tell their kids that they simply don't respect them and that they are just doing whatever they can to hurt them. And Teachers should make sure that they try to stop the name calling.

But how is name calling any different with vg names then with normal names? I mean, I know that you can easily be insulted with a form of your name. Like I have a friend named Rebecca that hates with when she is called Becky. There is no difference between being picked on just because you have a unique name.

Fun fact: The girl name "Madison" was practically non-existent before 1985 and only rose in popularity because a character in the movie Splash had that name. It become the second most popular female name in 2001.

So all those saying that you can't name a child after a fictional character can just pipe down, lol.

I said "dumb fantasy names", not normal names after fictional characters. Look back at the rant post.

I'm not going to respond, I'll just let that speak for itself.

Now I'm gonna abandon the thread for realsies.

I'd name my son, Mario or if I had a daughter, Marion. :mario:

But, in reality, I'd probably give them French names like Antoinette, Francois, Corneille, and other good stuff. Even Marion... I also have Chinese heritage.

I saw your YT channel and realized your real name is 杨蓉, Sarah is your English name then.
Then I don't get your sister's name. What does 美丽 mean? You cannot have "Beautiful" as an English name.

"Emilie" sounds awfully a lot like "Mei li".

Smg2daisy said:
Emilie can be 艾美 then.

Yeah but our relatives say MeiLi when they are talking about Emilie.

My actual Chinese name is Yang-Rew. I don't have the Chinese characters, but Sarah can type it out for me.

Acutally, I'll never be able to understand any language.
Does that include English?

Quick, in which language did you type your last post?

Yang-Rew ...杨柔?

No, it's like 如 except with the grass character thing on top (dang I forgot what the term for it is)

But why you both don't learn Chinese?

I tried to....by taking four years of it in high school

That didn't help much. I suck at learning new characters. New languages are an obstacle for me. Whenever I try learning new characters, I always forget the ones I previously known. The grammar is easy, kinda, but I can't learn to recognize or write all of these unique characters.

I'm trying to learn more French while my sister is attempting to learn Chinese.
