I'd call it a second RPG or maybe a hole new trilogy!
You mean a ninth RPG since there are 8 now excluding Sticker Star

Anyway I would like a Super Mario Galaxy remake on 3DS.

meh, id rather have a new game over anything.

Remakes are cool and all but if a new idea comes a long id rather have that.
But recent new Mario ideas weren't as good as Galaxy

3D world has its cool features but it has barely any story and it's timed courses with a flagpole rather than multiple missions in each stage and a hub world.

mario games in general dont have any story to begin with

the only ones that do are the rpgs, so your point is pretty invalid.

Plus each galaxy in smg was very boring and probably the only appealing parts about smg that i cared for was rosalina and the ost.

At least sm3dw looks fun and playing as different characters is also a good idea.

Of course ive not played sm3dw, but it already looks more appealing then that crap that was smg.

mario games lack plot, gameplay it what matters

honestly i still prefer the rpgs over the platformers, as they usually have both nice gameplay and good characters.

Of course im insanely biased seeing as how i play rpgs almost all the time.

I mostly play the "party" mario games
the multiplayer oriented games, since if I'm playing by myself I would be playing something else :P

Your avatar looks much more determined and intimidating.

But on an on topic post what if they make a new game and it allows mario to access his powers at will and turn into any form of mario and others.

I also have an idea for a form called Marioshi.

talk about rude.
What's rude, a combination of mario and yoshi seriously scares me.

if thats what it takes to scare you, then you shouldnt be in a mario community.

There's way worse stuff in a mario community then that.

You know, I did have another Super Mario Galaxy concept on my mind, but it more involves Yoshi.

Actually, this Yoshi would be different from THE Yoshi, in that he has had a very lonely life, and spends a lot of time watching the stars in the night sky. But an unexpected encounter with a lost Luma not only leads the Yoshi to an adventure, but it also changes his life forever upon meeting Rosalina.

Much like in the prequels, Bowser tries to conquer the universe again, but he only kidnaps the Lumas, instead of dragging Peach into the plot. Also, Kamek and his Toadies would constantly pursue the Luma that's with the Yoshi. Apparently, the Yoshi's Luma is not like the other Lumas, as even though it's very gentle and kind-hearted, it possesses a power that could lead to a universal catastrophe if its life force is used for evil purposes; Bowser wants that power for himself, but doesn't know about its drawbacks.

During the adventure, the Yoshi would develop a strong bond with the Luma, and will do everything he can to protect it from Kamek and the Toadies. He would also help Rosalina out by rescuing all the Lumas that Bowser has kidnapped.

However, when the adventure comes to an end, the Yoshi ends up having to return his Luma friend to Rosalina, causing him to become very depressed afterwards; the Yoshi would not only lose his best friend, but he also risks going back to a lonely life once again. When Rosalina notices this depressing behavior, she decides to tell the Yoshi her childhood story, revealing to him that she was quite lonely after losing her parents, but the Lumas gave her a new family to raise. She accepts the Yoshi as a part of the family, which makes the Yoshi very pleased, knowing that he's no longer alone, and doesn't have to say goodbye to the Luma that he looked after for Rosalina.

Lastly, as a post-story bonus, the Yoshi would be able to travel to a galaxy that shows him the past. This causes him to witness Rosalina's childhood past in person, along with seeing all the events that eventually caused her to become the guardian of the cosmos.

The concept might be a bit weird, but it does bring another character who's life gets changed by the Lumas.

This is good, but then it would be Super Yoshi Galaxy.

And he is actually irrelevant to the major backstory of SMB for that he's not a Mushroom citizen, but strange enough he can be summoned in any extraterrestrial place as Nintendo wish.
For that reason, it's pretty difficult to discuss Yoshi's role in actual stories since in most times he's not an independent character in platformers. And your theory can only be exmplained by Nintendo since they don't have to make a simple game complicated (they can simply introduce a navy fat dino character named Zoshi). Well, to some people the Captain Toad would be more like this topic.
