No, it just shows how horribly unbalanced Brawl is; Brawl also makes bad balancing decisions from the transition to Melee.

Plus, Mario is high tier in the first game. Pikachu is also a popular character, and it's still higher than Mario in all games according to the tier lists.

Nerfed from Melee (poor transitions?):
Mario (because he's so overpowered in mid-tier, isn't he?)
Link (this nerf makes no sense; let's make a mid-low tier character even worse!)
Ganondorf (he's way too fast in Melee, let's make him slower!)
Samus (lol, this thing should be nerfed for no reason whatsoever)
Jigglypuff (this nerf was way too drastic; she was strong in Melee, but c'mon)
Fox (reasonable nerf)
Captain Falcon (what happened? Are you out of shape?)
Yoshi (no comment; probably suffered from bad transition; stale move negations, most moves are generally weaker, etc.)
Peach (her second jump took the biggest hit)
Shiek (she is good, but she took a big hit)

Buffed from Melee, but still sucks in Brawl
Bowser
Zelda
Ness (low tier for three games straight; give him a much stronger buff, please?)
Luigi

Buffed from Melee and is already a good character
Ice Climbers (reasonable buff, surprisingly, because most of this buff simply fixes the Ice Climber's problems, not make strong moves even stronger)
Falco (transitioned well and has a throwable reflector, which is a great thing)

Mr. Game & Watch (a bad character getting a needed buff; too bad that this doesn't apply to most of the game)

Kirby (this buff makes a lot of sense because Kirby sucks. No pun unintended. OK, give buffs to Link and Mario, please?)

Super Mario Land was taken in Daisy's hometown. The debate point is mostly her relationship with Mario brothers and Peach while there are lots of open festival in main series. In other aspects, the Luigi-titled games are more debatable than SSB and SMB.

But while DK and Wario's residences keep showing in their games, we've actually never seen the Sarasaland since GC era.

To be more fair, both Daisy and Rosalina aren't good addition choices to Mario series if we don't really need other princess types. Among other human ladies from main series, Pauline could be the most different from Peach, well, though not ensured to be more popular than Rosalina.

Rosalina could have more god-mother or empress-like details to make her more standing out. Daisy could have a more India style princess suit as a ruler of desert. Or in the worst condition, the designers could think that "not wearing a princess suit or plumber workwear isn't a Marioverse character". :mad:

Fandom couples are not important (though it's official). But in other words, it's actually sad to see that the best four friends can't make up a team in main series if Nintendo want to give the place to another character.

I hate how almost all the top tier characters are newcomers. If Meta Knight returns in SSB4, I want him to be nerfed. HEAVILY.
 
well fighting games are pretty badly balanced

i mean omega rugal makes meta-knight look like a joke so just imagine him in his actual game.

Boy is Rosalina tall there. But that's about right for her size, since she's supposed to be close to Waluigi's height, if he was standing tall and proud.

shes a princess because she's a female monarch who isn't married
so technically she is a princess
 
well people gotta realize that nintendo games make no sense and this is one of those times where nintendo is all "stick this on character and lets roll with it".
