what defines a game as 3d?
generally I would assume the graphics, but in this case its referring to the gameplay, so wouldn't that mean that you can navigate the environment(s) freely without being on a plotted course?
thats (for me) what I would call 3d gameplay
 
If you can move in 3 dimensions then it is 3D.

And I think it's what most posters had in mind while posting.

Some of us decided to be a smartass and mention, "Mario Party" and "Mario Kart".
 
I voted for Mario Kart because 1. it's a poll option and 2. Mario spin-offs are awesome

I think the grammar also killed off any potential voters for the "their" option.

Not sure where 3D World goes, don't know enough about it to fairly judge it.
