Activision ruins everything.

and yet still isnt as bad as EA.

Oh, EA is awful all right.

I hate them for basically killing off Spore.

reminds me of the situation with kingdom of amular.

Had such great potential.

EA just releases rehash after rehash with FIFA and NFL. They're worse than Nintendo.

That's not even why they're bad lmao.

Platformers. I'm honestly pretty terrible at them yet I still buy and play them.

I guess some RPG's as well, usually ones that can have damage that reaches into the thousands, I find it hard to keep track of my health and when the best time to heal is.

Also Fighting games. I'm horrible at them, I just repeat the same combo constantly because I don't know how to do anything else.

Both were left off to rot.

Spore could've have expansion pack after expansion pack, but the only thing we got are creepy & cute parts and the (awesome) Galactic Adventures.

I can't believe nobody is capitalizing on this "create your character in nearly limitless ways" and Galactic Adventure's "create virtually any setting and put your character and NPCs to do whatever they want".

EA takes its anti piracy measures too far
to the point where after you buy the disc you can only install it a limited amount of times, thats just cruel

although if you buy EA games through steam, you don't have to deal with EA directly, thus making the purchase experience, oddly enjoyable

I know. Darkspore looks fun, but it's that always online DRM that constantly bugs me. It's like EA is encouraging me to pirate their games (with this whole installing something only a limited amount of times). It just shows they're money-hogging morons that don't understand that pro-consumer policies helps them earn money.

I think the only problem of buying EA games on Steam is that I don't think mods work properly.

Turst me EA are not the worst video game company. Take at Capcom...

I heard Capcom once harassed one of their employees to the point where she attempted suicide, so yeah, I definitely wouldn't trust their working conditions. With regards to EA, I read that they won the 'worst company of the year' award for 2013, but I honestly haven't heard any stories of them mistreating employees.

One company I did hear a lot about is Team Bondi, the developers behind L.A. Noire. Their boss was an absolute tyrant and the stuff he did was disgusting, especially considering the company was based in Australia where there are so many work health laws.

As for bad game development companies in terms of product quality, I reckon just look on the App / Play Store for games rated less than a star because it will probably be one of those (though there will be thousands to choose from).

I think this might be getting off topic..

Anyways, I'm bad at platformers, but I still play them. :P

And you don't deal with EA's ----ty Origin

Didn't EA can support for the Wii U because Nintendo wouldn't use Origin to run the eShop?

I can't play a good RTS to save my life, but I still play them. I even shelled out for Supreme Commander, the big one, even though my computer can barely handle it a minimum settings.
