That's no reason. They've managed to give R.O.B. and Wii Fit Trainer movesets.

hell you dont even need to do that, its so easy to make moves for a custom character.

Although might be called a clone despite the fact that dark samus and the actual samus fight nothing alike.
 
Even if Dark Samus was unique, most people are ignorant and still consider her a clone.

Just like how people think Wolf and Ike are clones when they are not.

On the subject of Fire Emblem, it sucks that anyone who isn't a Lord doesn't have a shot. Don't get me wrong, I like Chrom as a character and he's someone I fully expect to make the roster but I think someone like Robin or any mage-type character would provide a far more interesting play style.

Technically, Ike isn't a Lord... or rather, he wasn't one at the beginning of the game, until he "became" a Lord mid-way througha s part of his promotion/class change. What's great is that he didn't even want the title, but had to have it for "political" reasons. He asked if he had to wear some kind of hat during the process. :P

how about mother brain. well, she would be more fitting for a boss battle. ....metroid prime? and with that i mean the creature
 
Mother Brain's an assist trophy. If I had to go with another Metroid character besides Ridley, it would be Dark Samus.
