Falco is actually quite high in the tier list.
Like I said before, I don't believe in tier lists.
Enter a tournament with Pichu and then tell me tiers don't exist.
That's easy; he can just lie. Saying it while actually believing what you say (after doing that) is the hard part.

Ganondead.
Ganondork is already taken, heh.

If you think tier lists don't exist, then fine, go with that. Evidence shows support for tier lists, however, just keep that in mind.

Re: Changes to Veteran Characters

Because of all the info we got during the Best Buy demo, E3 demos, and Smash Invitational, I've added a bunch of info to the OP. There's still a ton I probably missed though.

(Just to further expand on this)

I myself don't follow tiers (I play Brawl both competitively and for fun though), but note that it is (nearly) impossible to make EVERY match-up even.

As in, Mario vs. Kirby won't be as even as Mario vs. Fox and the rest of the cast. Mario vs. Kirby won't be as even as Fox vs. Yoshi, for examples.

So yes, tier lists will always exist. However, they do need to improve the balance so that no one character can shut down another.
^An example would be Snake vs. Jigglypuff. Snake clearly outranges, overpowers, outcamps (not that Jiggs can camp though) and isn't easy to KO, whereas Jigglypuff is the total opposite.

Now, as for the changes I saw, I did notice these about Fox:

Fox
* Up Smash is somewhat nerfed (it can still be deadly though when it's not stale). [It can KO Bowser from 108% from the Skyloft stage.]
* Fox Illusion no longer leaves him helpless; therefore he can do Side-B to Up-B, or Side-B and Double Jump (assuming he still has a Double Jump). However, it can no longer be canceled mid-way. Its landing lag has also been reduced.
* Greater mobility overall; when using the Foxcopter (Forward Air), he is also able to move backwards more easily.
* Fire Fox's start-up hitboxes have less delay and hit quicker. It also travels a bit farther.
* Shine stalling in mid-air is less effective (as in it is not as spammable in mid-air to slow Fox's descent).
* The drill (Down Air) sends the opponent upwards as opposed to downwards now.

(Got this from a friend's video, who mains Fox.)

I don't see a bad Fox at all though. I know I'm still gonna have fun versing him, haha. (I get such a rush when I play a Fox in Brawl so that's why I love the match-up XD)

Also, this is somewhat unrelated to the topic itself, but it seems like Stale Move Negation returns... With an even stronger (as in even worse) effect than Brawl's. o.o
(Look at the video I posted above and check how a staled Fox U-Smash is not so great at KOing.)

Re: Changes to Veteran Characters

this is a bit of a trivial question, but does anyone know if donkey kong, diddy kong, and bowser have their cartoony voices from their respective series, or are they still the animal sounds used in previous games?

I've been wondering this as well, but I've heard in the demo that Donkey Kong has recycled voices from Brawl. Disappointing, but not losing all hope yet...

It's still an early build. Voices may not be final.

Re: Changes to Veteran Characters

Exactly.

Recycling Mario's miserable voice despite the style changes would be depressing for me.

And Luigi's even more depressed voice.

Re: Changes to Veteran Characters

Added info from Relax Alax's latest video.

R.I.P. top tier Fox and Marth, and hello Sheik.

Re: Changes to Veteran Characters

Does anyone know if Bowser has his voice actor from his games voicing him... Kenny James? Or is it still that ghastly, robotic beast sounds he has in previous Smash Bros? DK has his animal sounds again which vastly disappoints me.

Re: Changes to Veteran Characters

Why they can't bring back Mario voice style from the first Smash Bros. or Melee? They were perfect.

Re: Changes to Veteran Characters

I'm happy that Mario actually shows emotion at least.
