It would, indefinitely if the max HP is 1.
By the way, HP stat doesn't change with mega evolution, so Mega Shedinja would keep 1 HP.

They're probably for contests, but they seem to be usable in battles.

So far, my pokemon team is to consist of Swampert, Skarmory and Castform. They're the only three pokemon I can really put in my team at the moment, considering I'm not exactly sure what kinds of wild pokemon will be available to us in this game. I'm considering Aggron, but I just know people will get on my case for using two steel types in my team. It's not like the fire types will get murdered by Swampert or anything, plus steel is the best type for being basically the only thing that can save the dragons from the fairies.

I know I'm using Sceptile. Not sure on the others. The Hoenn dex is being expanded so there will be more options than in the original game.

I tried to have a team prepared for Pokemon X. I ended up changing half of the Pokemon not to far into the game. I'm glad I did, or else I never would have used Gogoat, who's awesome.

I think I will use Sceptile, I already know Mega Blaziken (and how broken it is) and I don't like Swampert.
