I noticed this too when watching the latest trailer. I couldn't believe it.

Now sandals are a gr8 option for comfortable footwear. Brawly needs to take note. If you want the barefoot feel just slip them off but if you don't wanna step on rocks just slip them back on.

Also is it just me but I've noticed that a lot of characters since gen 5 have been in flip-flops or something......................no one wears socks anymore like wowo is no one concerned about stinky feet

actually, your feet don't smell nearly as much when you're wearing sandals/going barefoot because they're free in the air and don't feel the need to sweat constantly

also when you live in the hoenn region with that much coastline of course you're going to wear sandals. they probably go the beach every weekend
