That is unfortunately what will most likely happen-because Viacom will fear that a permanent cancellation of Spongebob results in financial losses.

That particular episode kicked the whole stalker thing even higher(Yes, it's possible). The plot was that Spongebob stole Squidward's vacuum just to force him to visit, and Squidward finds out that Spongebob arranged the inside of his house to exactly match his. All the way down to the contents and arrangement of his medicine cabinet.

Another of my favorite episodes. So nostalgic.
 
Ugh. It's really a shame this series couldn't have just ended on a good note with the movie.
