Well what can you expect for a lame game? A lame boxart, of course.
I know right? The Sonic 06 boxart didn't look lame

uh yeah it does

I actually think the boxart is nice, its just a bit underwhelming for Mario Party, whose box arts usually have a giant cast of characters in them. Maybe this is tentative possibly.

I hope they bring back the ending that was in every map from the first game, second game's endings were good but not as good, but then the rest (from what I've played)...were not good

I think it's too early to reveal a box art.

Maybe they would reveal a final box art with all the main cast, when they announce all the playable characters.

Well at least they didn't forget Luigi.

The downside they forgot pretty much half the usual MP characters.

...i like the boxart quite a bit

usually dont care much for mp boxart to be honest.

It lacks punch.

Plus I'm not a fan of the covers where Mario and co are using actual Nintendo products, like the MK Wii boxart.

I know it's already been said several times, but the box art needs to have more characters.

Speaking of the box art, I wonder if Spike will be playable. He seems like an odd character to just throw on the box. If he was a common enemy, like a Goomba or Koopa, I wouldn't care much. Spike is, however, not exactly in that category. He's somewhere in-between common and rare, as he has appeared in multiple games but isn't a common staple.

Or maybe ND Cube is really digging into the barrel now when it comes to playable characters.

Most Mario Party boxarts have a clusterf*** of characters on them, so it's kind of disappointing that it's only, like, six. Well, I guess it's better than the minimalist Mario Kart Wii and the recent Mario & Luigi games.

The only thing that bothers me about the box art is that it heaily implies that Bowser Party is going to be the main focus which was what I was kind of dreading.

Well, it could still be good but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Otherwise, the cover says Mario Party 10 on it so i have no qualms with it.

I'm upset that the car is returning. This is why MP:IT is better than MP9.
well i am not upset for the following reason.
I just watched the E3 2014 trailer for Mario Party 10 and I was not upset. Look at that! Watch some Mario Party 9 footage and you will forget about it very quickly.
And one more thing, If you can defeat Bowser in Mario Party 1 on your N64 (that means no emulators, no wiis, just no hacks to emulate the N64.), you will never get that game. If you have a Wii U than buy MP10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (also, i have no idea that the car is returning, probably cause it is the 10th in the series.
i am done here

You don't have to link to wiki pages on the forum. Everybody here knows what those things are. The forum is for discussion, not information (generally).

Remember when Mario Party's board would feature a variety of different themes and requirements (i.e. one board is normal, one is star is found at end of board, another is steal stars from each other)?

I don't understand why they haven't learned that lesson yet with the new Mario Party games. Like, I just don't understand why they feel the need to make every board take like 10 minutes of play time by making them all the same and having like no variety but forcing people to be stuck with the car and race to the end gimmick.

Huson Soft did that, but it's ND Cube we are talking about now. And they did that with Island Tour, though still not in the best way.

Its funny, NDCube's ideas for boards are not the best, but I respect the idea of wanting to change up the formula, still I give credit that they can make some awesome mini games.

also lol no save feature.

i never EVER understood why people say "omg why did mario party 6 have different board mechanics. we want TRADISHUNAL 20 coins fer a STAR." in fact that's one of the many reasons i adored mario party 6

If people really wanted that, the best solution is make "omega" versions of each stage, like Smash Bros. 4 so everyone's happy.

also, they're making a mp10 series of amiibo, with mario, luigi, peach, yoshi, bowser, and toad

no new rosalina amiibo but the smash bros ones are all compatible with mp10

but the really shitty part is that you have to erase the smash data on the smash amiibos for them to work with mp10
