EDIT: it's "READ/WRITE". also the LInk amiibo is also compatible along with other amiibo figures, but it is "READ ONLY". http://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/compatibility/
 
Well, the game looks a little more desirable now.

urgh will they ever release an online mario party

less minigames than 9 seems weird, though the bowser mode is enough to sell me on this. if Toadette and Kamek are playable again b/c of their appearances on the box art I'll be super happy
 
The one thing that's way off about Rosalina's inclusion is her size. She's supposed to be as tall as Waluigi, or at least close to his height when you look at the Super Mario Galaxy models.

Meh, I don't care.

What I do care is that Rosalina shouldn't have been playable, but I guess it won't stop me from making my Bowser killing squad composed of Mario, Luigi, Rosalina, and Toad/Toadette.

Metal Mario and the Baby Mario Bros. should be playable too. :D

Why can't amiibo party be the classic mode and the classic mode be the amiibo party? ;-;
 
I'm really excited for Bowser party, it looks rather fleshed out (as far as Mario party goes)
 
I don't approve of the idea of locking an entire mode to amiibos is good, though. Just seems fishy.
 
Maybe so, I'll have to wait and see how much content the final product has.

Well, it looks like an interesting mode. Perhaps it could be considered the successor to Card Party and the Bonus Board.

EDIT: And the Duel Boards from Mario Party 3.

there was bound to be something like this eventually. it's for the $$$$

but yeah, kinda silly. the default board should at least be in the game

what I'm curious about is whether all characters are compatible in amiibo mode or if it's just those 9
 
y'know, the classic mario party formula being back under amiibo party kinda sucks

but i'm not even sure i'll get mp10 anyway, so realistically, it doesn't matter much to me

what DOES suck though, is the fact that it's read/write for amiibo data in this game; like, mario kart 8 was read-only and those were entire unlockable costumes

it does hint at amiibo acting similar to how they do in smash though; maybe instead of easy/normal/hard cpu's, we'll get amiibo's that learn how to play mario party over time

now we can all create a true BITCH out of peach
