Should the characters wear their 3DS costumes?
No
You mean Mario with polka-dot denim jeans, a red baseball hat, striped white-red jacket and plaid yellow-blue shirt, and clown shoes?

No.

Definitely not.

I just had a very bright idea. This might even be better than making a brand new game...

Introducing Paper Mario HD Trilogy!

How many of us would love to see this made?

Paper Mario, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and Super Paper Mario all in glorious HD graphics with actual paper-textured characters like Sticker Star's official artwork... Released with Gamepad support, along with support for the original game controllers (N64 controller for Wii U is released alongside a Gamecube one)

You could choose to draw on the Gamepad for Art Attack in TTYD, or touch an enemy in SPM to tattle it...

All three games retain the classic Paper Mario art style (not the NSMB redesigns from Sticker Star) but have that construction-paper look from SS's artwork.

A Paper Mario edition Wii U bundle is released, containing Paper Mario HD Trilogy, and the new Paper Mario on Wii U, along with a red Wii U with Paper Mario's face on it.

Or a limited-edition collector's tin with all the main heroes and villains of the first three games on it...

Come on, how many of you want this in your life?

Hell, they could include a fully revamped Sticker Star as a bonus, a version that contains original characters and a more unique story.

The only one that needs a remake in my mind is the original.

I don't think they would do that. The best you can hope for is a port on the Wii U of the trilogy like they are doing with Metroid Prime.

As for PM Wii U, I do think that they have started on it. PM has appeared on all consoles, and I doubt that they would decide to skip the Wii U for it. However, I have high doubts that it would be anytime soon, and will probably be announced after Codename: STEAM and FE are released/well into development.

You also have to note that they didn't announce M&L: DT until towards the end of the development due to the fact that they were working on the sprites so that they would work best with the 3D while looking good. Not saying that they are doing the same for this game, but it could be on hold for announcement for reasons similar to this.

But yes, it should be noted that it took 5 years between SPM and PM:SS, so we might not see PM Wii U until 2017, which could be near the end of the Wii U's life (I'm expecting the console will probably push to end of 2017/spring of 2018, having about the same life span as the GCN), so they may delay and have it on the next console, which would be a first.

For the most part, I believe that the game won't come out until 2016 at earliest, so there's tons of time. I wouldn't be surprised to hear something about Paper Mario at this year's E3, but I wouldn't have high hopes about it.

This would be interesting and I would be lying if I said this was a bad idea, but the Paper Mario Wii U Bundle and Sticker Star + are pushing it. Cut them, and this is quite possible (including the tin).

Like I said, would be better if the original was remade from the ground up.

That's actually a pretty good idea, but I doubt that they would do the revamped Sticker Star.

If it had an official remake, it could add in extras like more bosses, a higher level cap, maybe giving end game bosses (like Bowser) more HP, more badges, a bonus dungeon etc etc.

The 99 drives my OCD nuts.

Bowser doesn't need more HP, he was challenging enough with 99.

no he wasnt

he was really easy

what he needed was more damage if anything

When I first got to him, I found him harder than the Shadow Queen, because he can heal 30HP at a time. Quite annoying when I've got him down to like 5HP, with not much left myself, and then right when I'm about to beat him, he heals and then kills me.
