Next Paper Mario game (Likely on Wii U)

I'd like to see your source on them stating that there will be no more Mario games including spinoffs on the Wii U.
Well spin-offs maybe but they said they won't make more mainstream games.

Good, considering Paper Mario isn't a mainstream game.

Really wish people would stop miss understanding this interview. It says absolutely nowhere that there won't be any more main Mario games on the wii u. All this article is saying is that you can expect a new one on whatever their next system is. Which is a no brainer. Not to mention that Miyamoto said this with the words ''I think'' meaning its all speculative. Hell there are articles even before this one that stated they've already begun work on the next 3D Mario title and that was from last year.

They could. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

Sarasaland doesn't really have any notable landmarks. Its 4 generic kingdoms based off real life locations that form together to somehow make a kingdom.

I'm torn on Sarasaland. On one end, it could mark the return of Tatanga...but on the other end, it would likely involve Daisy, which I'd rather not see in a Mario RPG.

If we were going to have Aliens lets not have the generic guy most people don't give a crap about.

Wart maybe but almost nobody gives a crap about tatanga.

I'd rather not Bowser be playable again. Was never fond of what this series did with him beyond the first game.
Well, there could be a turn around!

I was kind of upset when he didn't talk in Sticker Star myself, so maybe the Wii U version will have more to offer.

As long as they don't turn him into a bumbling idiot who is too dumb to tie his own shoes if he ever wore any.

I'm not saying he has to be the main villain mind you, I just hate how previous games would dumb him down to make the new guys look more credible.

Even BiS is slightly guilty of that but nowhere near as much.

I hope they set it in Mushroom Kingdom, or at least have the npcs be toads and shy guys and stuff

What even were those flip flop people? And was there even any npcs based off enemies in Sticker Star?

Well there were the snifit or whiffit guys and wiggler but that was about it.

And SPM's NPCs were bloody hideous.

I prefer SPM's NPCs to your average Mushroom Kingdom characters, at least in a Mario RPG. I like it when Mario RPGs introduce new characters and species. It gives some variety from what is seen in the main series.

Variety is one thing but I'd rather look at 100000 multi coloured toads than look at the ugly as fuck NPCs from SPM again.

I don't find them ugly (well, maybe a few of them)

What about Welderburg? Is he ugly too? He seems to resemble the past art style more than the rest.

He's not as hideous to my eyes. But he's still not pleasant to look at.

Still think in terms of art style TTYD is tops. I mean Art Attack pretty much says so itself

Who wants to see the Koopalings as paper characters?

I didn't like how the characters pointed out they were made of paper for some reason.

I didn't mind those either. Some of the best jokes came from fourth wall breaking dialouge and/or meta related stuff.
