Well yeah, I know that part, but after it's repears it crashed again, this time against the forcefield. Neurario himself stated that the car would only be able to drive a few miles, I think crashing into an solid object again would shorten that period.

Nah, it doesn't crash into the barrier (the car actually swerves out of the way before that happens), but it does "crash" into Ghost Jam... somehow. Ghosts don't have a physical presence though, so I doubt this affected the car's functionality. The fact that no additional damage shows up on the car after the crash happens supports that idea.

Actually, more crack marks appear in the windshield around him. And if ghosts don't have physical presences, then they couldn't damage Mario and Luigi and Yoshis and whatnot in the game - it's more like something that can be turned on and off, along with visibility. But yeah, some extra cracks in the spiderwebbed windscreen won't hamper the car's ability to drive. Or fly.
