Some other Sonic games I think you should consider adding are Sonic R, Sonic Free Riders, and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

There, I added it alongside Microshaft Winblows 98 (not Microsoft Windows 98, ofc).
I also added the Castlevania 64 and Lords of Shadow games combo option alongside the Sonic combo option.

-Item collecting is stupid because half the red coins and flowers are from invisible clouds, so you have to jump around in every single spot to get 100%, not to mention there aren't nearly enough stars for it to be reasonable to have 30 by the end, plus it's hard to keep them because of previously stated-lame controls
-Extreme lack of originality... it feels like nearly every single level is a (worse) redesign of the same number level in the original YI (for example 4-7 is a level with a lot of moving platforms, 5-5 is a moving screen level in a cave), also I think there was literally one new enemy (probably a couple more; I don't remember), whereas the original game made so many new ideas
-Too easy, and most deaths felt cheap
-Overall, the game lacks any excitement, making it incredibly dull and boring to play
-Control is bad (worse than the other Island games, mostly it feels slow)Fat Mario said:

to be frank, yoshi's new island soundtrack is NOT THE WORST THING ever
that being said, it still isn't good. it sounds like the performers were playing it in their sleep.

I'd bet Castlevania Lament of Innocence's soundtrack sounds a games miles better than Yoshi's New Island. Oh man, that Michiru Yamane is such a great composer.

I heard that a lot of people hate Super Mario 3D Land and say it is the worst 3D Mario platformer. It ruined the 3D Marios and took away that non linear gameplay that what makes a 3D Mario platformer great. I loved the old style 3D Marios. 3D Land is less enjoyable than Galaxy 1 and 2 and it still isn't as good as say the Galaxy dualogy and Sunshine. Mind if I add 3D Land on here.

Super Mario Galaxy was very linear already and I don't see what people don't like about SM3DL
those who hate SM3DL hate it because it resembles New Super Mario Bros., yet it got vitually nothing to do with that (except for the fact that it looks and plays kinda like it) because the level design is more complex and the game is just overall more enjoyable.

Yeah Galaxy was. Apart from a couple of secret/hungry luma stars you could only get the star your mission selected and they were on a fairly linear path. It was a lot less open than 64 (don't know about Sunshine, I never played it)

I'll add 3D Land as an option for those that hate it and there are a lot of people that hate it and want the old non linear free to roam around style 3D Mario back which is what I want. 3D Land p much took out that free to roam around and that open ended mission based goodness without limits, it got rid of the hub world that was established since 64 and what makes a true 3D Mario platformer a true 3D Mario platformer.

Kind of unrealated but 3D Land i think brought back the trend of "flying mammal" powerups which I think was pretty overdone

Galaxy 2 was the last 3D Mario platformer to be ever be considered a magnum opus. After Galaxy 2, no other 3D Mario platformer would ever go on the level of being a magnum opus. That is why Galaxy 2 to me is the last real good 3D Mario platformer. It's because that it is the last to be a magnum opus.

Well i don't know what a magnum opus is but I agree that Galaxy 2 was the last great 3D Mario. 3D World was OK, and 3D Land was meh at best.

A magnum opus means the largest, and perhaps the best, greatest, most popular, or most renowned achievement of an artist.
The term magnum opus is what best describes Galaxy 2 because that is what it is. 3D Land and 3D World don't have that magnum opus quality that Galaxy 2 had. I really want Nintendo to make Galaxy 3 and make it an even better magnum opus.
