Next year will be Princess Peach's 30th Anniversary. Any ideas?

That never bothed me since in that game EVERYONE used their emotions to fight.
 
But it's built around that mechanic: a woman's emotions. Or that's how it feels like.

Maybe so, but I feel it weakens the whole ''thats sexist'' argument if the males do it as well.
 
Yeah, I guess it's less sexist than Peach in general. Peach is just this nicey dicey princess that uses a frying pan to hit people, and it just ticks me off how nice she is. Even more so than Mario.

See, that's why a girl like me prefers to use Mario instead.
 
Her niceness never bothered me but I see where you are coming from.

Peach is my favourite female in this series and I prefer her to Daisy's tomboyish nature and Rosalina's........very creepy fanbase.

I'm pretty sure every video game woman has a creepy fanbase. To an extent. Moreso than the men, that's for sure.

I'm even bothered by Mario's niceness a lot, such as when Baby Luma steals his hat, and he takes it so awfully well, ugh.

I prefer Daisy's tomboyish nature because I just like her angry-sounding voice. The angrier she sounds, the better. And it's more fitting in games like Mario Kart because nobody SHOULD take a loss well in Mario Kart. I swear, Mario Kart can turn the sweetest little cherubs into raging monsters.

As long as they can keep their personalities intact I am fine with that.

If you ask me the best representation of Peach is actually Super smash bros, shes girly, but also regal and proper, she is polite but she can also kick your ass while still keeping herself composed and proper like a royal should be.

And yes I realize I'm saying that while one of her moves involves throwing turnips at you.

acting polite and stern at times where needed to be is totally fine, since that's part of her personality. peach should express her stern side more often though.
 
So I think the Year of Peach should become a reality with SPP2 and SPPU. I think NSMB is what killed Super Princess Peach. NSMB is the DS's killer app. I guess it being a 2.5D reboot of the old 2D Mario genre is what helped it to kick so much ass. The Super Mario Advance series was just nothing but remakes. NSMB was kind of original than the Advance series. I think NSMB proved that we weren't missing the old retro NES and SNES style of Mario that was gone during the modern 3D age at the time.

I actually don't like the super mario adventures Peach, mainly since in that shes basically a hot headed moron.

Though I don't think she needs to be more stern, all the major mario characters are exaggerations of personality types so I'm fine with her being....politely stern if that makes any sense.
 
It's also the 30th anniversary of Toad and Bowser, by the way. I think MP10 celebrates Bowser in a little bit. Toad doesn't need his own year.

I still don't like the whole year idea, but whatever.

I think Super Princess Peach 2 and U will do just fine. I hope they do sell like hot cakes. I think there should be a special limited edition Peach 2DS and Wii U systems.
