Next year will be Princess Peach's 30th Anniversary. Any ideas?

Having a Peach edition 2DS and Wii U is a good idea for a celebration including a limited NES Anniversary 2DS and 3DS XL. Heck even a NES edition Wii U would be good.

This. And he sure as hell shouldn't get into Smash over the likes of Paper Mario (or poor deconfirmed Waluigi)

As for Peach getting her own year, I'd prefer a Year of Bowser simply because I like games where Bowser is a protagonist. It opens up the door for new villains which is always nice. Also Bowser is more fun to play as than Peach.

Toad is much more major character than PM and way more deserving of a spot in Smash

And Daisy and Bowser Jr are more deserving than both of them.

But Toad wouldn't represent anything not already represented by Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser and Rosalina.

Paper Mario would represent the Paper Mario series.

eh, I see your point but i'd still much rather see a major Mario character instead of a spin-off rep

edit: though now that I think about it, Paper Mario and Toad are from different series so one of them getting in really wouldn't have an affect on the other's chances of being included lol

Paper Mario has no chance. He's an RPG character and the most he's gonna get is an assist trophy.
Waluigi's rights are owned by Camelot (I believe), so he's not out of that boat, either.

EDIT: That's not saying it would be awful to see them in. I wouldn't mind RPG characters, but Nintendo won't let it happen.

Well there is a stage so that's why I'm thinking Paper Mario's chances have increased. Nintendo doesn't acknowledge WarioWare in other games too much either but it has representation.

Thats because Warioware is (much to my annoyance) Wario's most popular series and makes Nintendo the most money out of all their Wario related things.

So how would a :peach: edition 2DS and Wii U work out? We will also celebrate the NES's 30th anniversary so NES Anniversary Edition 2DS,3DS XL and Wii U would work out as well.

That's a lot of exclusive items.
They've never made a "character exclusive" Wii U, so I don't see that working.

If only the actual WarioWare characters got something more.

They're much better than the RPG characters, too.

Toad is more representative than Rosalina, but I disgress.

He would complete the Super Mario 3D World playable cast, that's saying something. Besides, Toads have been playable so much unlike that space woman.

I would disagree, but I haven't played the WarioWare series so I really can't. May I ask what makes you think so though?
The WarioWare characters have the personality and the charm you really like from the Mario RPG characters, but they're more memorable.

Ashley, for instance, might seem harsh and cold, but she's actually quite shy and lonely, and it's been stated that she misses her parents. She's a more fleshed out character than most. There are more characters, too, but I don't want to elaborate because I haven't played the WarioWare games a lot, just WarioWare: Touched! and maybe Smooth Moves.

Another thing that makes me like the Mario RPG characters is their epic moments that tie in with the story. Such as Dimentio's various monologues hinting at his true stance in the story, and Fawful's appearances in Superstar Saga and BIS when he comes to taunt the protagonists (also the Fawful Show was pure gold)

So yeah, I guess the reason I like them is both their personality and their actual appearances in the stories of the games. Now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't WarioWare about minigames mostly? Or is there a story mode in them too? I really should play a few of them and I think they should start appearing in Mario Kart too, mostly for equal representation. I do find it odd that Donkey Kong characters and ROB can get in but not Wario (apart from Wario himself) and RPG characters (other than Goomboss as a boss in MKDS).

There isn't a large coherent story in WarioWare, but each character tend to have their own ministory, but it depends on the game you played. Like, Mona goes to a gig, gets chased by the Dinosaurs, but realizes that she's late to work and then drives away.

There is some post-story event, I think, but I'm not 100% sure.

The Year of Peach should have Pink Gold Peach in a major role (maybe an origin story).

Give Pink Gold Peach her own game
