King Boo is hardly a "sub-boss". It's Bowser to Mario as King Boo to Luigi as Kamek to Yoshi.

You probably consider him a sub-boss because you've only played Mario Party rather than the two Luigi's Mansions.

Well, that's not how it worked since 2001.

While Mario is Bowser's arch rival, he does generally step on just about everybody to get his way and that includes Luigi. Plus Luigi has fought Bowser more times than he has fought King Boo.
