Well possibly placeholders or just beta icons. I posted a few pictures on the MK8 talk page showing the DLC cup info and it shows the Character icons and Cup icons. The Yoshi Egg Cup is fully complete with the 2D styled art and details the 8 Main Cup icons have. Well I could expect at least 2 more DLC packs after these 2 and the Mercedes one.
Not related to DLC.
Mrbean made a 3-lap N64 Rainbow Road. The video is roughly 5 minutes which means the course is not as long as the one in the original being over 6 minutes.

Everything about this DLC is amazing... 'cept for those colored Yoshis. They are shit.
But I never knew that I'd be choosing from not only Mario, Metal Mario, and Baby Mario, but also friggin' Tanooki Mario as well. They're all godly characters. I admit, I'll use Tanooki Mario much more than the more requested Mario characters, so on my own perspective, it's more of a benefit.
But we also get Link in a motorbike, only seemingly available in my fantasies. Gasp, it has become reality.
Isabelle is really nice. I'll look forward to using her too.
Finally, more tracks and more vehicles. That's always a good thing, especially from high quality producers that know how to manage DLC.
Really, Nintendo's DLC management should be held in high regard, especially in a world of shady DLC practices. This should be the standard, so thank you so much, Nintendo.

For those who are concerned about the lack of heaps of DD+Wii veterans, remember we don't know anything about how this game will use amiibo yet.
I think it's very likely that Smash 4's Bowser Jr. and Diddy Kong figures will unlock them in Mario Kart 8. I don't know about other missing characters though, they'll probably get figurines specifically for Mario Kart 8 if at all.
On a separate note given that I've loved this game's soundtrack so far I can't wait to hear the music for the 16 DLC tracks, another reason as to why I don't like how Wario's Gold Mine is returning rather than Wario's Colosseum because Sega already did a remix in London 2012.

BTW we need additional teams other than Mario Supermotors Team and Lord Bowser.
Nothing wrong about the bundle itself. It's just that my sister and I have a very strict policy when it comes red team/blue team matchups (Yoshi is never allowed on our team, the red team, and Wario must be present, in the blue team). We're concerned that the colored Yoshis appear as bots, especially during the random teammate selection. It makes me shudder about the RNG's behavior if that happens.SKmarioman said:

I don't understand how anyone could like the idea of non-Mario characters getting into a Mario spinoff and stealing the chances of more obscure Mario characters getting any love. Different strokes I suppose. Guess I need to pray for Fawful or Mr. L DLC...
