I guess that's why he always frowns in the Mario Kart/Golf/Tennis/Soccer/Baseball games too.
 
My headcanon:
It's been 30 years since the Mushroom Kingdom was destroyed and replaced with Smash City, made out of toys. All of the residents were turned into amiibo, and so did the other video game people.

A twelve-year-old boy rules this land, and the trophies can only see his hand. He empties their minds of all but how to fight, and trains them to use all of their might.

For 25G+, they can enter the Classic Smash Test. It's a fighting tournament to see who's the best. They punch, kick, headbutt, and set ablaze the others, and keep fighting as good as they can muster.

The final battle is against the Master Hand. (The only part of the leader that they can see.) The battle is really intense, but he remains undefeated, 0-93.

Or better, for free, they can train at All-Star. There, there's holograms of all the amiibo there are. With full-motion holographic-bodies and the feel of a real fight, all the amiibo come here to try.

The call has come for Master Hand's streak to finish. It's time for the whole Smash City to kill it. The power that will come has arose.

Bowser is both amused by and terrified of Bayonetta.
During the Melee era Peach once tried to get the royals of Smash together to make a team. It didn't end well.
Fox is a major F-Zero fanboy.
All of the Heel-oriented characters are on a team. Some are more thrilled than others.
On that note, nobody on the team trusts Ganondorf. Nobody.
Everybody forgets Bowser Jr., Diddy Kong and Alph are there. As far as they know/remember, Ness, Lucas Toon Link, Villager and Mega Man are the only kids in the tournament.
Bowser Jr. is somewhat obsessed with making Mega Man into his minion (read:best friend). Again, Mega Man himself is the only one who notices.
Roy adopts Pichu after the Melee tournament.

Also according to my headcanon, Cloud now owns this mansion.

Wonder how that happened. A mansion full of ghosts isn't high on popular places to buy.
 
Welll, Cloud refurbished his mansion and made it play loud samba music in there while also being the residence of other Clouds. If all the ghosts aren't driven away from the weird ass music, he even invites some Clouds in clown outfits (which they are called "Clownds"). So thus, he made a new haunted mansion and anyone who ventures in there is subject to an influx of aggressive Clouds and Latin party music.

This is an alternate universe VideoLand and all the fighters mock the one DIC showed us when not fighting.

Ok this mans an eldritch abomination that just sorta takes shape of characters in existing game and watches only so he can technically become mario or Alarm Koopa if he wanted to

ridley's sole reason for joining others in wol is because he gets to stab more people even if theyre like. clones or possessed
ice climbers are both the ultimate ice pun masters. they will crack ice puns every chance they get to do that. thats cool. also theyre twins and nana's the older one
roy koopa and roy fire emblem hang out with each other All The Time and no one knows if theyre just friends or something more
rob sometimes dabs ironically and no one likes that
kirby befriended mostly everyone. and whoever he has not befriended yet. He Will.

Ganondorf is a massive fan of F-ZERO and Captain Falcon is his favourite racer. Ganondorf even mastered some of CF's iconic moves such as Falcon Punch but with Dark Magic.
 
Roy and Roy (The Cool One) are engaged.

Pichu is actually a 47 year old man.

Female PKM Trainer (Green) is an android and someone thought the on-switch was her nose, which is why she has none.

Lucas is a eunuch.

And lastly, for now:

Sakurai is too racist to add Steve.
 
He also harnesses the element of something we all agree isn't cool.

but Fire is cool and FE Roy has a fire sword so he is cool.

Also FE Roy gets his own slot because he is cooler and doesn't deserve to share a slot with seven other characters.
 
Kirby created a robot called Galeem to fight off Dharkon and it went rogue. That's why Kirby survived.
