Quite an interesting concept for a first course: you can attack people driving towards you, and you cannot take a shortcut by driving a circle (must go around two circles). Though it lacks the Gamecube's shortcuts, it's still manageable.

I will give SNES Donut Plains 1 a 3. Another boring SNES track that was remade. At least they made it look alright and not ruined like a certain track that was rated high but got trashed. The bridge looks much better than original, well then again the original was 8 bit.

I will give N64 Frappe Snowland a 5. This track didn't make much changes, but it was one of the better Retro tracks that got featured on DS. It is always a good track to race on, except you still have to watch out for the Snowman.

2/10, as boring as the N64 version, and it's actually worse because the funny lap skip glitch has been removed.

Still a 6 and that being said it's one of the better retros.

It's funny that the character models in DS look worse than in 64

7/10 A bit lifeless, but still a fun track to race on.

Since 64 totally used models instead of sprites.

There's a reason they didn't try Mario Kart character models until Double Dash. DS had the misfortune of being the first handheld to use them.

I will give GBA Bowser Castle 2 a 3. Keep in mind I gave it a 1 the first time around. At least they made this track look much better, but it still is boring and stupid. Like we needed so many GBA Bowser Castles in the first place, we now have 3 more that were remade (this is the 1st, the others are in Wii & 3DS). Just boring, there were better options for Super Circuit that could've been on DS.

To be fair, the best Super Circuit courses that everyone wanted are in the new DLC for 8. They would have had less of a chance if wasted on DS and its mediocre graphics. I know they could re-retro them, but I think it's better that they saved the best ones for now.
