Sonic 06 is crappy a magnum opus. Princess Elise is an annoying *bleep*head magnum opus. It's also a very glitchy magnum opus-ish game. That, and the story is overly convoluted a magnum opus and plot-holed magnum opus-ish.

probably the only ones that come close are the bottom two

iphones/ipads (and for the record, any smart phone and device), due to the fact that you have to pay, what, 700 dollars for an iphone? plus, nowadays, you kinda need one if you're going to function like everybody else in this new world, apple knows this, they charge you about 700 bucks for a four inch chunk of metal

alienware is the best shit out there, the result of michael dell doing a deal with satan, hades, davy jones and nelson gonzalez, to bring about the most fantastic pc/laptop line ever created specifically for the gaming world. everyone else's is worthless shit. because it's so good, they're charging over a thousand bucks for it. granted it's not exactly mandatory, but when you have a shit pc/laptop, you kinda wish you had this one.

most of the other products on this list aren't cash grabby cause they're either not mandatory in your everyday life, actually rather cheap, or simply a video game that you don't have to waste your money on if you don't want to

personally i really don't understand why super mario galaxy 2 is on this list, it's rather innocent when it comes to money

NSMB.2 is far worse than Windows Me and Mega Man X6 and by extension the Castlevania Lords of Shadow games which are considered god awful and the 2 N64 Castlevanias. I'd honestly play Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness any day over the Castlevania LOS games or even the N64 Castlevanias.

If cheap and useful they could be pretty cool. A watch for $349 or even over $10,000 dollars that requires a $700 or so phone to use many of its smart features is not.

Alternative medicine isn't just a scam, it can be really dangerous. As in, people forgoing valid medicine treatment in favor of wasting money on some useless mystic natural toxin-clearing powers.

Um, they're cash grabby because of questionable business practices that try to milk money from the fans. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is as bad as New Super Mario Bros. 2 and every other sequel that required minimal effort to create.
