The Mario & Luigi thread.

I'd love to see the Shroob's make a comeback sometime.
It's plausable. Have you seen
Princess Shroob and Elder Princess Shroob
in the freezer in Bowser's Castle? There are also some other Shroobs left there as well.

I think the leaders being there was just a background thing as they aren't there outside of the fight.

That would be a clusterfuck.

And that's what a Mario game should have.

To an extent I suppose.

Bowser would still be the last boss though.

I've always wanted a Mario and Luigi game where Wario (possibly with Waluigi) were at least minor recurring villains ala Jr. Troopa in Paper Mario or Popple in Superstar Saga. Or a game where Wario (or Waluigi) gets possessed by a new villain, basically what Cackletta did to Bowser in Superstar Saga only it occurs throughout the whole game.

They could work as minor villains. Probably wanting something that the Mario Bros need and refusing to let them have it.

I hope they bring back playable Bowser in the next game.

so can i

rpg games can get away with a large roster of characters i don't see what makes mario & luigi extempt.

One thing I love about the Mario & Luigi games is the personality the main characters receive

I was looking at Baby Luigi's sprite sheets the other night for constructing my sig at the time of this writing and I like seeing all the facial expressions Baby Luigi makes.

To be honest I kinda expected Dream Team (before it was revealed) to have (M&LRPG)4 playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi

I'm glad they didn't go that route.

Most characters in the series are expressive in general. Which is much appreciated.

As for why so few characters, thats due to the ''one button per character'' thing. Unless your Bowser who gets 2.

But why can't some characters be active in battle, some not while you can configure which buttons to work for them?

btw, Mario & Luigi sprites are often a work of art. Another reason I'm super glad Baby Luigi is playable in Partners in Time

Well like most Mario games the series relies on simplicity over complexity.

And I agree, I love Bowser's.

I know everything about Baby Luigi yet I still can't figure out why he stares the other way for his battle pose.

Because he's watching for Kamek.

Then why doesn't he watch for Kamek when he's seriously hurt or poisoned in battle?

Because he's seriously hurt and poisoned!

Then....in the battle actually involving Kamek, he still looks the other way

Kamek's got toadies

But even my Level 100 Baby Luigi looks the other way when he can probably eliminate everything in the game (with Bros. Item help, but even so, I think he OHKO's Snoozorbs and Shroob Rexes while incorrectly timed action commands 2KO them)

Lots and lots of toadies

Then why doesn't Baby Mario look the other way?
