The Mario & Luigi thread.

An evil version of Mario is kinda lame if you ask me. As a minor enemy sure but for the main antagonist? Eh.

Is it because of that rule that every ----ing main character in video games ever needs an evil version of themselves?

He's better off as, say, Cosmic Clone, but even that's done already in video games (e.g. Dark Rayman).

Pretty much. That and Mario already has several.

I didn't even know Dark Rayman existed.

Joy.

I still think Bowser would totally wreck the shroob princesses if he fought em.

Probably wouldn't happen mind you. I see them as more the babies enemies anyhow.

Well they do get annihilated by baby tears so.....

Or something of the same chemical make-up or whatever.

But even then he could still beat em down.

Technically babies can beat them up if you wasted your time grinding them to hell like what I did ;)

Guess what, he works exactly like Cosmic Clone: he imitates every move you do, like a Cosmic Clone. And he was there in the first Rayman game, which was in Atari Jaguar.

And we have Dark Link and Shadow the Hedgehog...

Like I said, it's a tired concept.

I don't think any other character takes so much advantage of such a trite concept.

-Wario
-Shadow Mario
-Cosmic Clone
-Cosmic Mario
-Metal Mario (in Smash Bros.)
-Dreamy Mario

Baby Mario

Mario's not the only one either

We have Dark Bowser and Waluigi.

Fortunately Dark Bowser died and Waluigi exists to live a miserable existence.

Oh man, I forgot Robo Mario.

We need a category for existing versions of Mario.

Now, no one can match Mario in terms of shameless ripoffs.

The sad thing is that I'd probably play and enjoy playing as all of them.

Island tour had bubble clones.

The only Mario worth a crap I think is Shadow Mario. And thats because it was really Bowser jr in disguise.

Speaking of jr is he ever going to get a significant role in this series? The best he's gotten thus far was a really fun and enjoyable bonus boss.
