post any random Mario thought on your mind

Sooo... i just started doing MK8 mods.

I have a texture ready to insert and i did my first voice mod!

I replaced the majority of Rosalina's MK8 voice files with 3DWorld voice files and god , THE CHANGE IS BIG.

i may call it the ''anti yell'' mod as well , it's soooooooooooooooo much better and that ''irking'' feeling is completely gone. It's so funny though , because it's still the same voice but it's so different , the feeling from 3D World is fun but at the same time has that ''something'' that makes it not annoying or too generic , it's just about right.

Even more , i like it more than the MWii Rosalina voice mod that's floating around there on the net as well. I tried that and it sounds way off , maybe because the quality of the clips is rather bad and the clips chosen do not fit Rosalina's actions.

anyway , im sooo glad.

The more I think about it, "Birabuto" sounds more exotic than "Pyrapt"

More mods!

Cat Cruiser based on Rosalinas cat suit from 3D World , this looks way prettier this way. i love it.

Galaxy Air Varnish for Rosalina (and others :P) Looks very pretty on all characters , but the best for Rosalina.

Video with another mod coming soon :3

Edit

Here it is , finally what i wanted.

Edit 2:

May include this as well :3

i previously did a texture for Rosalina in mkwii resembling Claire Redfield's suit.

I remade it for MK8, and looks super cool.

Managed to make the ''Made in Heaven'' logo look good enough.

Looks like a perfect Zoey mod for Left 4 Dead 2.

Oh well i might go and post this gem.

Last night the MK8 modding group had a couple of races in MK8 playing ALL AS DAISY , and Lord Voldemort ... i mean memoryman was part of it.

Everybody played as trash Daisy , he played as Baby Daisy on a ATV proving how so not fun he is considering he broke the rules.

#Trash

Now if only the tracks were redesigned as a landfill. Would fit the garbage can aesthetic pretty well.

Someone should also design a kart that is made out of trash. Like, cardboard themed. Think Sloppy Series or Cardboard series from Animal Crossing.

I feel like Trash Daisy would be in the Heavy weight class, not the medium.

Well the hack does replace Daisy, and you can't hack the game's stats if you want to race online.

I think in theory it could work if everyone in the online room uses the exact same hack. But it would most likely need a special server.

Yeah, good luck getting custom servers up in Mario Kart 8.

Also, stat changes would probably end up desyncing WiFi like it does in Smash.

What you COULD do instead is to replace a heavyweight character with a trash can and swap voices, animations, and icons around for Daisy.

I mean, in theory, anything's possible. You can turn Mario Kart 8 into a shooter. You can code in new items. It just depends on how realistic the probable scenario is. Considering wiimifi is a custom server for Mario Kart Wii, it is possible, but I'd imagine it'd be extremely difficult to set up.

Man sometimes I wish Nintendo would allow users to create their own servers and their own modded content. You can get all sorts of wacky ---- go on when you play with friends online. Would be fun.

Please do it.

Don't worry, in MK8 you can use item hacks or 1-lap hacks and they work. The system is completely peer2peer, so if everyone has the same hacks, everything works. There was actually a special Christmas mod made by Ray Koopa that had the speed given by coins greatly increased and it worked when all the players had the mod.

huge keyword here. you need an extremely specific set-up to make mods work and you have to let players know before-hand.

usually in more mod-allowing games, when dedicated servers are created, people who join these servers technically download these mods instated by the server in order to modify the game to be like how the host is playing it. think of it as playing gmod with others: if they have add-ons you don't, your game detects add-ons it doesn't have and installs these add-ons automatically

the difference here is that the mod downloading is automatic. in mario kart 8's case, everyone needs to have the mod manually installed beforehand before they can play properly.

I had no idea Mario Artist Polygon Studio had an open-world mode where you drive in your own shitty, sombrero-wearing vehicle

I really enjoy playing with Easy computers on Mirror Mode in MKDS. It's fun to try to act like a computer sometimes.

Easy computers are pretty much the relax mode of Mario Kart and the AI i play with in most Mario Kart games (barring Double Dash)
