post any random Mario thought on your mind

Mario Odyssey alone is enough to hype me up, but then there's also the likeliness of the Superstar Saga remake...

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

I wonder how that will go down...

Like I said before, the Mario & Sonic series is pretty much the only Sonic spin-off series left, and if anything this game would allow them to keep the rights from the IOC and porting the Hedgehog Engine on the Switch to get ready for the 2020 game, this is why I see it as likely. That being said, the 3DS version of Rio, just like the 3DS version of London, had a story mode, the latter was rich in dialogue between Mario and Sonic characters, actually even the Wii U version of Rio had a lot of lines of dialogues from the various characters.

I agree with new games being better, but the recent pattern seen doesn't make me expect many of them this year, maybe a new NSMB since quite some time has passed since NSMBU, but as the team was involved in Super Mario Maker, which received a recent 3DS port, I'm not sure they had the time to develop a proper sequel.

I wonder if, since this is a remake or whatever for SSS, if they'll make changes to make it match better with what happens in later games in the series?

For example Fawful getting knocked out of Bowser's castle and exploding changes to him just getting knocked out and falling off screen since we all know he comes back again later.

Wouldn't mind if they just dropped the whole Bowletta thing and kept Cackletta as herself the whole game but I doubt that.

Also, if Cackletta were to stay herself, then the final area wouldn't be Bowser's castle.

Then they would have to come up with something.....original!

And... tbh it wouldn't be as cool if she just got back up after her first defeat. I like how they made her come back despite her body dying.

They can still do that without robbing her of everything that made her different from Bowser.

The way I see it, they should keep Bowser as "Rookie" the whole game till he remembers after you beat Popple the last time and come up with an alternative method for Cackletta to survive and get more powerful.

There's also Mario & Sonic and SSB4 isn't a remore possibility. This makes for a confirmed Mario game (Super Mario Odyssey), two leaked Mario games (Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Superstar Saga DX/Bowser's Minions) an almost certain Mario game (Mario & Sonic) and a likely game featuring Mario (SSB4), I don't know what the NSMB team is doing, but a port of Super Mario Maker is more likely than a new NSMB game in my opinion.
Yep, I agree with E3 having most surely an high degree of Marioness.
Bleh. I'd rather there not be so much Mario focus. Odyssey is fine and maybe some Smash news, but I'd rather Nintendo focus on something else.

Their presentation is only 30 minutes long. Too much Mario focus would suck.

I mean, I honestly think they should give the Mario & Sonic Olympic series a rest. If they want a Mario/Sonic crossover why not something more story-driven that allows for the characters to interact more?
I don't know. I think there's some potential in the series. It has Mario and Sonic competing together in a popular event.

Still, I do agree that something more is needed. I could potentially see a Mario and Sonic crossover working in the form of an RPG or a fighting game.

For a fighting game, we have Smash, but I do think Mario and Sonic crossovers should be something.

You know I kinda wish I could go to E3 and just jeer through the entire presentation, if there is one, of Kingdom Battle. I still think it's one of the worst ideas ever. There's at least one other person from a Discord server I'm in who would be there doing it with me.

To be honest, I find that a bit sad. I think Mario had more worst ideas ever...well the video game industry has a lot of worst ideas ever that were revealed in the E3.

I don't want something more story driven, I want something that has better gameplay. Mario & Sonic has the potential to be just as a great sports game as Mario's centric sports series, it's just that they've made stupid choice after stupid choice in each game.

As Northern Verve has pointed out, there was quite a few interactions and story between characters in the Mario & Sonic series anyway, and it had story-driven as well, even though they are very ridiculous.

I remind you all that Bomberman Act Zero exists.

Just as the redesigned Bomberman wasn't bad enough, they have a female Bomber whose design is an insult to women everywhere.

I'd say it's primarily an insult to bomberman since like act zero it looks nothing like a bomberman character.

Let's face it, Bomberman Act Zero was an insult to everyone everywhere.

God, with stuff like Quiet from MGSV being genuinely passed off as a serious design and not blatant fanservice, I'm not even motivated enough to be mad over something like that.

i'm salty that the only recognized voice actor from Mario and the one that gets proper coverage is Charles Martinet.

Ironically , Jen Taylor gets a bit coverage as well but that's because she has been into many other popular franchises such as Halo as Cortana and Left 4 Dead , so she is not just ''Peach'' , furthermore they still call her Princess Peach even when Sam Kelly has been the voice since 2008.

Outside of that literally nobody else gets asked for anything or praised for anything.

i acknowledge that Mario characters have few lines and all , but people like at least Deanna Mustard, who has been Daisy for over a decade, and Laura F. Smith, who has been in Fire Emblem and is not a ''Mario'' exclusive as such , deserve more recognition.

I know people that like Kenny James, and to be honest, he's the best Bowser I know.

Kenny James is an anomaly.

Charles Martinet is kinda like Jen Taylor in this case. He's had roles as characters in Clue Finders and Elder Scrolls, so Mario wasn't his only role. I'm not sure about Sam Kelly and Laura Faye Smith voicing characters outside of Nintendo.

Hey, Jen Taylor does an amazing job being Zoey in Left 4 Dead :D

Sometimes I wonder if Kenny James even exists.

We all know he's not a real person.

I also prefer Deanna Mustard over Jen Taylor.

I prefer ketchup myself.
