Mario Sports Superstars

I guess that's the appeal in them. They have such tiny bodies and they're not shrieking fungi.
 
Still waiting for new Bowser Jr. artwork, I mean, I don't even know if we have 5 different 3D renders of him without other objects around, unless they recycle even the Mario&Sonic artwork...
 
Bowser Jr. is probably going to reuse artwork, considering that he appeared in Tennis, Golf, and Baseball, and his soccer artwork reuses this artwork (File:NSMB BowserJr.png).

Only horse racing is probably going to get new renders.

Also, the more I look at Baby Mario and Baby Luigi's cards, the more I see them as in-game renders rather than actually new artwork, but that's not a deal breaker to me because it'll still be high res and it's just pictures of them looking badass. I really wish they did that instead of recycling artwork haphazardly, though, because out of all soccer cards I've seen, they're the best-looking, second to Mario, which actually uses a render of him kicking a ball. I mean, just look at Peach, she's supposed to be playing volleyball, so when I see her card, I think she's smacking the soccer ball into the goal :P
 
EVERYBODY looks weird because the renders are not only from different games , but also different gens.

Luigi having a super detailed render in comparison to Peach Sport Mix render from Wii is just horrible to see.

Now , i wonder if they would be lazy enough to use an existing Rosalina render , but i doubt it since she has not been featured which is highly likely because they are preparing a new one , as she deserves.
 
Does she have any mario & sonic artwork? If so they might re-use that.
 
The only one features her swimsuit because that's the only thing she wears in that game , therefore it's not gonna work in this game.

Maybe they'll thrown in there her Ultra Smash render.

I saw Rosalina's golf card render in one screenshot. It reuses her Mario Party 10 artwork.

Well Goombas are technically also shrieking fungi.

Maybe that further puts more weight into the assumtion that Rosalina indeed has her dress for Golfing , thus reusing WT Animations.

Or it can be just them awkwardly posing next to a horse like how Nintendo did it with characters next to their karts in Mario Kart Wii.
 
Yeah that might be a problem. Considering how fond they are of putting artwork in very awkward positions, i'm sorta expecting they do that for horse racing.
 
I'm still confused by the pinball/breakout thing.
 
It's not really pinball, I coined it that because I was dumb.

It looks like a Breakout clone, where you move those "paddles" (amiibo cards) left and right to deflect balls into features. We don't have any video footage of that mode yet, only screenshots, so that's all I can say for it.
 
I'd rather they just ditch all that and use the resources on adding more to the main game.

But it's likely finished by now so I'm not holding my breath.
 
idk it could be fun. I mean, you get to kill Boom Boom at least.

I'm obligated to own Baby Luigi amiibo cards, so it's not like i have a choice in the matter :babyluigi:
 
I can only imagine how you'll be if they ever make a Baby Mario bros set of amiibo
 
I'd first squeal like a fangirl.

Then, I want to own an out of box amiibo of them and a new-in-box version of them.

Baby Mario and Baby Luigi rarely ever receive figurines, so having an amiibo of them is more of a dream come true to me.
 
It's certainly not impossible. It could happen.
 
I was still sorta disappointed that they made a card series rather than release a third wave of Birdo, Bowser Jr., Toadette, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi. So now, we'll be lucky if we want a stat boost for a character we want. I really hope this isn't a sort of "pay to win" kind of crap where card boosts can be used online (that would suck). Heck, I don't want figures providing a stat boost either, but something else neat like a cosmetic change.
 
But, as a Baby Luigi fan, I'm still very, very, very happy either way, because Baby Luigi appearances are rare, relatively speaking, so when he does appear, especially playable in the game like this, it's like...observing rare phenomena like total lunar eclipses. You get to learn to appreciate everything about it, even if it's not ideal and has some blemishes, because this stuff doesn't happen to often. It's the sole reason why I constantly say "OMG OMG OMG" in this topic.
