If I get the game, I'm going to use Peach and DK and my sidekicks will be Goombas.

I'm also thinking of Peach and Rosalina with Toad or Goomba sidekicks.

Goombas serve one of the most important roles in the franchise.

Yoshi and Daisy, per the norm for me. I'll probably use Bros as my sidekicks, along with maybe Blue Penguin Toad.

But if I can use other major playable characters on a team, then choosing sidekicks will be a whole lot harder.

I just realised that chemistry is gone considering Major characters are not part of the baseball team besides Captain and Sub Captain.

It also sucks that you cannot have the game full of Main Mario characters.

You can choose a captain and an alternate captain. The rest are sidekicks.

I think Mario Sports Superstars is really a better value due to it being a game compilation of Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Baseball, and Mario Strikers, and also adds one new original sport. It's like asking why buy Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, or Mario Superstar Baseball (or Super Sluggers), or Mario Strikers separately if I can get all of them in one game for the price of 1.

I wouldn't get Ultra Smash for 40 bucks, I'd wait for its price to be cut to 20 or 15 which is the price it should've went for since it is an unfinished game, literally. Maybe, I'll try it after the Wii U era is over which what I mean is after the Wii U is discontinued.

Mario is the main character of the game, and is the only one who has enough money to host all 5 sporting events (and still a crapton left over), so therefore, he has to appear in every trailer.

But I want Baby Luigi gameplay as well....maybe he'll appear in horse racing. Hopefully.

Still, soccer looks like a load of fun. It won't be as intense as Strikers, but it looks fun in its own right.

Bowser's been in every trailer thus far. I have no regrets.

Still soccer looks fun. It's not strikers but strikers was so different it could have almost been it's own sport so I don't mind a more grounded soccer experience with some Mario trimmings for flavour.
