well there is magical starsign for the ds, the art style itself reminds me of some mana games but more kid styled i suppose.

Pretty neat game, easy to understand , but dont think it has any customization to it like the badge system from pm64, so.

Those are off the top of my head. I also think there maybe good indie titles out there that are light-hearted and cartoonish but I don't know.

Zae, did you play Child of Light? Because if Paper Mario's gonna do the Super Paper Mario route, I think Child of Light's might a good inspiration for it. Never played it, but I would sooo love to.
