maybe if i believe hard enough i can will F-Zero SX into existence

it worked for Metroid Prime 4

Never heard of SX, is that a fan idea?
oh, no. that's just my hypothetical name for a switch F-Zero, since we had Gamecube GX and Arcade AX, why not Switch SX? for all i know they'll call it something different if it actually happens

i'd just be happy with f-zero on the switch in general

The fact that Kid Icarus is notable enough to be listed as one of the options in the poll shows how much Smash Bros. uplifted its popularity to heights it would have already dreamed of, no doubt because it has three playable characters (which is rather sizable for a franchise with only 3 games), and also because Pit was designed in Brawl as though he had a regular character evolution like Mario, Link and Donkey Kong (compared to Ice Climbers whose design is stuck in the 80's).

Unfortunately, Sakurai has stated he has no plans for a Kid Icarus game for Switch, port, sequel, or otherwise.
Good news is, someone else might!

Yeah, someone else might. But the question is: who could do it? It's not a question of doubt, but more of not knowing which developer would be best qualified for the task. Given that Sakurai had laid the foundation for Kid Icarus' current iteration, it would probably be easy to follow up on this. That is, compared to Ice Climber where they are fan-favourites thanks to Smash, but it's doubtful that another developer (except possibly Sakurai) would even follow up on it.

Thank you for reading.

Still waiting for that new Pikmin, though WarioWare would be great on the Switch, too.

Paper Mario with characters like the first 3, but since that's not a reasonable request anymore (what a world to live in), Mario & Luigi 6. Also with characters, not no Paper Jam bs.

Of all the series suggested... I'd go with Star Fox, but I would also like to have a new Paper Mario and no, I'm not gonna say to have it like the first ones because I don't see anything wrong with Color Splash so I'd be happy if they did one like that, mainly because the chances of that happening are low and also because I feel many people just keep bashing it without seeing the good side of the game.

Also if you want to bring back partners... do it right, ok?

Aside from Nintendo themselves, I think Camelot or Retro Studios would be good picks to head a new Kid Icarus.

New Mario poll! :samus:

This week, Nintendo announced the restarting of Metroid Prime 4 development with Retro Studios due to concerns over quality. How do you feel about this?
-I'm happy to wait for a quality product, and the announcement makes the wait easier to understand.
-I'm not happy with the delay, but I appreciate the transparency and commitment to quality.
-I don't mind waiting, but the announcement is still disappointing.
-I'm unhappy about this. Nintendo should never have announced the title so early if we have to wait so long.
-I don't like this announcement. Nintendo should have started with Retro Studios from the beginning of development.
-I have no interest in Metroid Prime 4.

I am perfectly fine with this delay. Yeah, longer delays always suck, but this shows that Nintendo knows what they are shooting for and this can only mean the game is going to be amazing! ...Right?

A delay might end up in a better product but the team restructuring and reworking the game from the ground up is making me concerned, as we had catastrophically bad games that were resulted from repeated delays and reworking stuff. The poll doesn't cover that option, and I really don't think this sort of question is appropriate in poll format.

I don't have any interest in this game so it really doesn't matter to me. What's interesting to me is that Nintendo had previously never mentioned the developer who was handling this project, so they're probably safe from being a target of mockery, despite there being rumours on who's handling it. With Retro handling it now, it remains to be seen if their project, which is the rumoured Star Fox Grand Prix, will see the light of the day. I know Retro was put in an emergency position to develop for Mario Kart 7 at one time, but I don't think that is a major effort on their part to shift away from their main project anyway.

Thank you for reading.

Option 1

Hear this. I'm interested in the game now thanks to Smash. It does suck that it's coming out later than expected, but the delay could ensure a better product, one that isn't rushed. And hearing that the original devs are taking the wheel this time combined with positive reception of said titles... I just have high hopes at this point.

Is FE Three Houses getting delayed as well though, I wanna know that...

im glad they actually announced why the delay has been so long and it actually makes sense that they're delaying it to give it to a different studio so they can, well, make it actually good

I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to get the game, I haven't played a game in the Metroid series yet; although I wouldn't mind starting. That said, option 1 is the one that fits best for me.

A little bummed that it won't be coming out this year, but at the same time proud of Nintendo for their transparency on the matter and commitment to that famous Miyamoto quote.

On the bright side, this buys me some time to finish Prime 2 and Prime 3 and finally get caught up.

:yoshi: :yoshi:
Do you plan on buying Yoshi's Crafted World?
-Yes; I have already pre-ordered it.
-I plan to get it on release day if I can, but I can wait if it isn't available.
-Yes, but I am not going to get it straight away.
-Maybe; I am going to see if the price drops.
-Maybe; I am going to see how good the reviews are.
-I am probably not going to get it.
-I have no interest in the game.
-I plan to buy it if I get a Switch.

Of course, although probably not right away since it comes out in March and I've already made other plans for my game budget for that month.

Chances are I'll probably grab it in December.
