Two items at once.

Wouldn't vote for special items because if there were any special item some of them would inevitably be more broken than others and then all that tier list crap is happening all over again.

Two players in one kart? Eh haven't played double dash but sounds like the feature was made for that game so I'll let it stay exclusive to that and move on.

Customizable emblems? That sounds pretty neato actually, I want that, but being able to hold two items at once is a better thing. Especially if coins return as item box items.

In recent Smash entries, third-party characters such as Sonic, Ryu, Simon, and Joker have become regular additions. How do you feel about this?
*I like it, and I hope Nintendo keeps adding more third-parties.
*I like it. They should go even further by adding characters from media other than videogames.
*I don’t mind it so long as they also continue to add Nintendo characters.
*I'm neutral; the origins of new characters don't matter to me.
*While I didn't mind a couple third-party characters, I feel too many of them are being added now.
*I dislike the entire concept and want Smash Bros to go back to Nintendo-only in the future.

itd be cool if a non-video game character was in smash, like the Son Goku guy

"I don’t mind it so long as they also continue to add Nintendo characters."

I would have preferred if Nintendo focused the Smash Bros series with representatives in their series, even if they are far from the most popular characters, because one thing Smash is great at is popularising the less-popular characters. I mean, if it weren't for Smash, I doubt Ice Climbers, Pit or even Ness would even be considered an All-Star.

With that said, the third-party cast clearly has a lot of draw. Back in the day Snake and Sonic were big deals, and every third-party newcomer is pretty good at generating excitement even if their output is distant from Nintendo's ecosystems (Cloud is the biggest example, much more so than Joker and Snake). Therefore, they are clearly a great selling point, in DLC form, because they are more likely for anyone to pay money over, compared to several first-party picks that aren't veterans (Corrin was the only first-party DLC newcomer that was never free, unlike Piranha Plant).

I don't know if all the third-party characters can sustain their presence from game to game, because I felt that someone like Cloud doesn't have the same amount of references (only Final Fantasy VII is represented, not the whole of Final Fantasy), so if anything, if a character were to be cut from the next game, Cloud is the most likely one to be cut. On the other hand, third-party characters with a high degree of association with Nintendo are likely to stay, looking at Sonic and Mega Man.

Thank you for reading.

Option 5. Third-party characters were pretty neat at first, but now there are so many that they're coming at the expense of Nintendo characters. One or two should be the max number of third-party newcomers per game, but Ultimate has 4 that have been announced so far, likely with more coming. That's just too many, and they've got to give some perfectly deserving Nintendo characters a chance. Like Bandana Waddle Dee.

cloud is so weird because final fantasy has a huge history with nintendo, what with the original six games + various spinoffs

and they just... don't acknowledge anything

As long as a healthy balance is maintained between them, I have no issue with third party reps.

This. At first it did not bother me (Brawl, 3DS/Wii U), but in Ultimate, I feel like Nintendo focused way too much on third-party characters to the possible detriment of their own series that should get more representation (especially Xenoblade Chronicles for me).

I'm neutral tbh. If I think they have a good moveset I use them. If I don't like their moveset then I don't use them. Simple as that.

Option 3. While there's a lot of third-parties I can get hyped for and use a lot (Simon turned out to be my favorite third-party character in Smash), there are boundaries for such characters, that if exceeded, would just feel... wrong. I want the series to stay mainly focused on Nintendo characters in what concerns playable characters. Spirits or Trophies can go as crazy as they want though.

*While I didn't mind a couple third-party characters, I feel too many of them are being added now.

I mean, if the rumor that all 5 DLC packs are third party is true, the number of third party unique newcomers in Ultimate matches the amount of first party ones.
-Inkling
-Ridley
-King K. Rool
-Isabelle
-Incineroar
-Piranha Plant

vs

-Simon
-Joker
-4 more unknown third parties

As Internet-breaking as big 3rd party reveals can be, they shouldn't let that get in the way of the main focus being Nintendo properties. There are a few exceptions, like if they are part of a Nintendo property but owned by a third party at the same time such as Geno, but something makes me heavily doubt that he's one of the DLC characters.

Many of the third party additions I love, such as Joker, but the focus should still primarily be Nintendo properties imo, so option 3 for me.

Which of these Nintendo series with no games currently announced for the Switch would you like to see on the Switch?
*Kid Icarus
*F-Zero
*Pikmin
*Star Fox
*WarioWare
*Mother
*Other
*I would not like to see any more series being introduced to the Switch.

F. HYPHEN. ZERO.

I would like to see a Chibi Robo!! on the Switch, what with him getting some second wind in fame after the infamous event leading up to the direct.

Thank you for reading.

Drill Dozer 2, Pikmin 4, Uprising-Style Kid Icarus, Wario Land 6, Paper Mario Switch and Pokemon Ranger 4 when?

Edit: Oh yeah, and Starfy Switch too.

Other. Rereboot Paper Mario back to the good ol' days.

Anyway I haven't played any of those other series so what else would I pick?

The fact that Kid Icarus is notable enough to be listed as one of the options in the poll shows how much Smash Bros. uplifted its popularity to heights it would have already dreamed of, no doubt because it has three playable characters (which is rather sizable for a franchise with only 3 games), and also because Pit was designed in Brawl as though he had a regular character evolution like Mario, Link and Donkey Kong (compared to Ice Climbers whose design is stuck in the 80's).

Unfortunately, Sakurai has stated he has no plans for a Kid Icarus game for Switch, port, sequel, or otherwise.
Good news is, someone else might!
