How do you feel about Toadette being a playable character in the New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe?
*I'm very excited that Toadette is playable in a main series title!
*I don't mind Toadette being playable, but there are more unique characters I would have preferred instead.
*I don't like it, since her inclusion resulted in the removal of Blue Toad.
*I don't like it and think Toadette should only be playable in spin-off titles.
*I don't like it and I think Toadette should only be an NPC.
*I don't like Toadette and I'd rather she be phased out of the franchise.
I don't mind Toadette herself, I like Toad and Toadette together rather than just two Toads. But I want to know who thought the Super Crown was a good idea.
I like her and I'm glad she's playable, but the fact that she replaced Blue Toad? That's just asinine. Why couldn't they just have both? I'm unhappy about this because that means that in a four-player game, at least one person is required to use Easy or Super Easy mode. That makes me upset, and is one of the several reasons I think Deluxe is inferior to the original.
Option 3 looks like the closest to my opinion, but that implies I don't like her being playable, so I'm not sure what to vote.
It's good that Toadette is playable, but I felt that the U Deluxe game didn't really do enough new to be considered remotely exciting. For example, I would prefer it if the also added New Super Mario Bros. Wii because both games have the similarity of 4 players. Moreover, it benefits from easy characters because that game looks tougher than U.
I do agree that Super Crown is an unneeded addition because it birthed the idea of sexy women versions of various characters. This trend already annoyed me before, but the Super Crown made the trend super popular. Fun fact: one pornography website had statistics that reported that the "Peach version of Bowser" had the most searches in 2018, and the worst part is: the fan character is labelled as though Nintendo created it. It remains to be seen if the trend still goes strong in 2019.
My answer is, I like her being playable in that game. Not so much as the trend that came after her appearance. Anyways. The reason I say the closest is that she's isn't a new playable character. That was Super Mario Run. And just like Super Mario Run, just because I like her in the game, that doesn't mean I will play as her if I get the game.
I'm honestly pretty happy she got in, and she's got a cool Superpower (just ignore the Internet). But thought I'm really sad they removed Bucken Berry since he was my favourite character from NSMBWii. But maybe, just maybe, he will be a skin for Yellow Toad. I mean at least Bucken does appear in Smash Ultimate in Daisy's moveset.
In the two weeks since its release, what has been your favorite part of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?
- Using and collecting Spirits.
- Going through the World of Light.
- Playing as new characters.
- Playing as returning characters.
- Fighting in Classic Mode.
- Fighting in Online Play.
- There's another element I've enjoyed about playing
- I haven't enjoyed anything about playing
- I do not own Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
I'm not planning to get this game, not at full price anyway. I'm open if the game is available for cheaper than the usual price though (or if an inspired DLC character is announced)!
I'd go with both options 3 and 4, there should be an option that unites both.
But yeah, pretty much almost every character I've tried out yet is fun to play, and I can safely say there's a whole lot of characters I did not expect to be enjoying as much as I do. I knew Simon was gonna be a great newcomer, but man, he's just so damn fun to play, he's also my fourth for now. R.O.B I haven't unlocked yet, so that might change, and with Piranha Plant releasing in February, that might also change things, but yeah.
I knew I was going to love this game, but not that much. And I haven't even started World Of Light yet, so I've still got tons of things to do.
