Why does Bowser never die?

The simplest answer is that Bowser cannot die, only be defeated. The New Super Mario Bros. games touched on this by creating Dry Bowser (undead). The Mushroom Kingdom is magical, and thus anyone can be brought back. Perhaps that's why Kamek and Kammy Koopa are kept close by?
 
He's gotta have a good moisturizer and reconstructive surgeon on staff! XD

Ever since they introduced the Magikoopas in SMW I sort of used it as a way to explain why he's basically immortal at least in my head.
