Hey first update of the post-200 era! This probably should've been the take it easy month but instead I did a few extra things anyway. A few things of note, The 'Shroom Report is now a regular section after being a special in the last issue, and it's also replacing Community Report because for some reason the wiki editors got proposal fever and there would've been about 70 proposals to deal with this month. That's crazy! So if you liked that section, now's your chance to take over. Pipe Plaza also got a cerealy one-off (not as bad as it sounds), and be sure to check out the start of a special collab with Ninja Squid in Shmaluigi, Private Investigator!

Even though the section naturally lend itself to a regular feature, why is it that Featured Sprite is a single time feature? Of course it doesn't have the be a regular feature, but it's curious that this is the only time you have it. Is this because of a general lack of sections otherwise (only 2 sections if it weren't for that)? Could it also be because you find the sprite amusing and had to share it?

Pretty much the latter. I usually don't feel too strongly about sprites in general, but this one ticked the "I really like it" box when I found it. It's also pretty obscure since I imagine not many people here have played Nintendo Puzzle Collection, so that was a big reason why I wanted to show it off in The 'Shroom. Whenever I write sections about something that I didn't make myself, whether that's a Palette Swap art analysis or a section in Pipe Plaza or Strategy Wing, I find it a lot more fulfilling if it's something that readers are less likely to already be aware of, like I'm sharing something new that I enjoy. So I think I would find it hard to find enough material to write Featured Sprite on anything more than an occasional volunteer basis based on what I enjoy writing.

I actually had the idea on the backburner for several months, since Palette Swap was low on content that month and I already knew I wasn't going to be writing one of my usual sections it seemed like a good time to make it.

Wahoo, it's Anton's 100th issue as Critic Corner and all the special stuff that comes with a huge milestone! As bonus content this month, we've got an early Auction House in collaboration with Boo1268, the apparently traditional special issue Musical Quiz, and a 'Shroom staff collab!

Speaking of Anton, it's occurred to me that these posts aren't very descriptive so I've decided to take a cue from his Half-Baked Reviews thread (i.e. steal an idea that I liked) and start labeling them like I do in the OP. I don't think many people actually read this thread but hey, now it's here.
