What game did you last play?!?!?!?

Xenoblade Chronicles X

I've checked this game once an hour all day, made predictions based on times and data I wrote down over the past day and I'm setting a god damn alarm to wake me up after 4-5 hours of sleep just so I don't miss out on this fucking achievement for the ninth time.

I've estimated that any later than 11am starts to hit potentially dangerous territory because it seems like the people that put in most of the work killing the Nemesis are awake while I'm asleep. Even though stats show that it probably won't be close to dying for another 24 hours. Fuck stats, i don't trust 'em. im terrified

Ares production has halted until I can overcome this emotional hurdle. o7

edit: also apparently I'm top 20 on the global rankings for number of swimsuits obtained. Amazing really, 17th.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

I fucking knew that the Global Nemesis RP would drop drastically, I'm so fucking glad I used an alarm. For the past hour I've been checking it every five minutes, for the past 30 minutes I've been doing 1 minute solo runs to update the count.

And I got it. I got the True Hero achievement. Easily the hardest one in the game just because the timeframe to get it is so strict.

It went from 11k RP to 0 in one go, i would've been so sad if I missed my chance to kill it.

Aaaaaaaaaah, I'm so happy right now.

Final Fantasy VII

went from the elevator fight to getting out of midgar. here's a good idea, swing around a 50 pound sword on a motorcycle instead of barrett using his gun arm. genius

also are you able to get yuffie or vincent right after you escape from midgar? just curious

Undertale

why didn't I play this sooner

this game is amazing so far. beautiful music, literally every character has a background to them, and holy shit the jokes. I actually really don't want to try a genocide run (attempting true pacifist atm) since I don't want any of these characters to die

also screw muffet tbh, I'm still stuck on her and she's making me hate spiders even more >_<

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Now I can just slowly make my through the achievement list. I knocked out some annoying ones like 'kill 100 enemies while unequipped' and 'win a battle with only 777hp remaining'. There are a ton of 'kill 100 of (species)' achievements I need to get, they make up most of the leftover ones.

Might need to make an Ether Blossom Build after all.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

The only thing I can even frickin do now is do Lorule Castle. Then I would 100% the game.

Left 4 Dead 2

Mario Party 4

I was posting basically everything that happened in chat yesterday.

Etrian Odyssey IV

I still can't get over how the new normal battle music (exclusive to the sixth stratum) screams "YOU WILL DIE", especially when you first hear it.

Then there's just the labyrinth's music on top of that:

Extremely unsettling but also interesting dungeon, there's an event where you get ambushed by Muskoids, who try to petrify you immediately and almost guarantee a game over. Distinguished mapping based on floor hazard placement is extremely crucial to make it through certain rooms successfully, which is really cool. There has been no fight where I could just spam normal attacks and win, which has kept me on toes.

I managed to bumble through the bottom floor of the sixth stratum. Apparently you can challenge the boss as soon as you arrive but the game subtly urges you to cripple it first, based on how quickly you'll get destroyed otherwise.

It's a fun challenge, but some of these rooms are dastards, using FOEs attracted to already difficult fights in a room of floor hazards. That's painful.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Playing online with people is slow, first I have to complete the squad task fully then accept the squad missions you get, then wait and hope someone gets the invite. and usually by the time I finish the mission with one person the time limit for the missions has ran out and i have to repeat the process. I only have 26/100 for the play with others achievement so far.

But some of the missions are actually a little tough, the Skell prohibited ones at least. Me and this other guy had to fight three Virago's which are some pretty big monsters and could do some real damage but whenever I used Shadowstrike and staggered it, he would follow up with the topple so we could wail on it. Before a fight he would wait for me to use Ghostwalker and Primer to get my Decoy and TP Up buffs and then he would run to the back while I aggro'd it and he would just do w/e damage he could, it would aggro to him and then my arts would have finished their secondary cooldown already and I could just destroy its health bar.

I mean this person obviously had some shit equipment and probably hadn't even finished Chapter 9 because he did piss all damage against even the small enemies and his level didn't even reach the Lv40 cap but he made it easy for me to set up my high damage output combo's and he even came over and revived me when I got killed.

The Skell missions are boring however since all you do is walk up and one-shot all the enemies. Global Nemesis missions are fun for the person doing all the damage, not so much fun for the meat shield getting topple-locked to death.

Xenoblade

beat Lorithia on my first try without melia and level 74. the thing is I was planing to use melia (the party was shulk, fiora and riki)for the battle but it didn't let me change party past the cutscene, which i found odd considering every other boss let that happen. i ignored the nova completely and constantly used purge and kept tension high. i managed to keep the dumb ai out of the pool by using run options and used physical art buffs so they could actually do something to her. i was aware before going into this people have been stuck on this boss for hours and some have even quit despite being this far in but my setup passed through her and easily bypassed her.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

To get the online achievement I need to play with others 100 times, which means relying on people accepting the auto-invites that get sent out. Which means it's completely unreliable haha. I've stopped playing this for now so I can just play EOU2. I'll go back to it eventually though. I won't give up until I have all the achievements.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight

Took me a while to get the hang of my team, originally I thought it was a lot more defensive than the team you get for Untold 1 but Force Boost can really give you some really silly damage output. Once I got Ailment Slash for my War Magus I was able to deal some serious damage even without Force Boost. It's probably still more defensive overall when you finish nuking the enemy.

I feel like the bosses in this game have been more difficult than what I faced in the first game, not to say the bosses in the first game were easy, just that these ones sure do cause me to really think my plan of attack over and over because I'll just straight up lose otherwise.

War Magus had me a little confused at first but it's probably one of the more interesting classes to use since you can decide to make them pure offense, pure support or anywhere in between. It has good synergy with Survivalist because of ailments but Hexer is probably better than Survivalist in that aspect.

The story is a little more interesting than what they had in EOU1, it seems like they put slightly more effort into it though it didn't stop me from guessing what was going to happen hours before they even happened, they weren't very subtle with the foreshadowing. Also the opening movie basically spoils the whole thing lmao.

You should go back to playing it, idk how far you got but I don't think you ever got your Skell.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2

I had to relearn how to play this game since it's been so long but I think I got the hang of it. I can at least guard on reaction again. I might go for all the trophies, it's not difficult just time-consuming.

EarthBound because I got re-addicted to it.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2

I've been putting too much thought into my attack strategy, spamming the special attack and ultimate attack is the optimal play. I had to slightly change it for the Ten Trials but it was the same basic thing with even more ultimate attacks than special ones.

Three trophies to go until the Platinum; Play for 30 Hours , Purchase all the Collectibles, Get every Title (besides a few luck dependent ones, and replaying the story missions, I need to play as every character 30 times; just very time-consuming).

I have no fucking idea why I started playing this game all of a sudden but I just wanted to finish it for some reason. Both Etrian and Xenoblade are on hold until this is done.

Undertale

Reset the game so that I can get more items for the Asgore fight and stopped around the beginning of Waterfall. Playing through it a second time has been pretty interesting so far, I've been noticing that some of the characters (besides Flowey of course) say that I'm a familiar sight as if resetting doesn't wipe ALL of their memories.

Final Fantasy VII

Went through Cloud's flashback, and damn do I love Sephiroth's story. I immediately knew things were going to get terrible when the second half of Those Chosen by the Planet kicked in, and it was just chilling from start to finish.
