okay so lets recapitulate what happened so far before the start of this
as you may or may not know, this game picks off at episode 23 of the anime (somewhere near the end of the first game), however the version where rintaro doesnt receive a message from his older self which motivates him to try to save kurisu again
so sg0 heads straight into a timeline where rintaro has accepted the fact that kurisu is dead and cannot be saved due to the world line convergence (even though as we now know she can be saved, but whatever) and where world war 3 will happen i guess.

Pokemon Sun Version
So I reset all the EV's on my mons, besides a little bit of Ninetales' attack since I didn't have enough. Though the next batch will be done in 5 hours. I'll throw them into pelago and they'll be maxed out again by the time I'm done working for the weekend. In the meantime I'll just grind FC to buy another Treasure Hunt, maybe I'll get some gold bottle caps to fix Masquerain. Then I'll have to grind out Battle Tree for the BP i need for some hold items I want. Contemplating swapping out Wide Lens for Metagrossite. Clear Body and not missing really does come in handy but, +100 bst.
also got to Level 23 in the plaza, named it Bottlecap Land. Bought a second Treasure Hunt 3 from GBA (The next one I can get costs 1,200), and got a Treasure Hunt 1 from ranking up. So now every facility in my plaza has the chance to give Bottle caps, 7 chances a day.
Also they keep trying to give me bloody Pharmacies. I don't want your drugs damn it. edit:Hit 24, got a Treasure Hunt 2, I see my future and I see bottle caps.

Cleared the Master Rank of Battle Royal and man was it some shit. Literally speedy glass cannons with protect: The Experience. There were some really bullshit wins the CPU players managed to steal from me, but I out-cheesed the system by switching to Golisopod and using first impression on a pokemon who had 1HP from a focus sash. It was my only kill of the match and I won master rank, top lel
I have certainly exceeded my daily salt intake after these two events however
In the end I got the Idol pose so its all smiles ✌✌✌

The first round of sessions in Pelago should be over in an hour, beans are practically useless now that I've upgraded all the useful islands so I can just pump them into speeding everything up. Got no bottle caps today but that's fine, apparently you can upgrade services once you hit rank 30 so maybe I'll try do that and see if I can't boost my chances.

okay so rintaro managed to jump into a world line where ww3 was already happening
the soviet union apparently still exists and upon receiving information on how to develop a time machine they were threatened by the us and decided to attack them

Archimedean Dynasty is a submarine combat sim released in 1996. It's the predescessor of the Aquanox games (both of whom I thought were pretty good, but nothing special), though it's more simulation-heavy and is much better regarded than its sucessors.
The premise is that after a nuclear apocalypse, humanity has been dwelling underwater for centuries. You're a tough guy mercenary who screwed up an important job and you have to start from scratch. The game plays closely to a PC space sim from that time, though there are some subtleties like how your submarine is affected by the water currents, how the various types of torpedoes work and are affected by environmental factors like terrain and noise, and the ability to install automated turrets and program them.
One cool feature is the dialogue system. In-between missions you can walk around various places and speak to people. Some of the conversations are just for flavour, but often you'll have dialogue choices, and choosing between being polite and patient, or showing some teeths, may allow you to get side-jobs for extra cash. Often you're not rewarded immediatly, but you're setting up an opportunity for later. Overal this is a pretty cool game and it's living up to its cult classic reputation so far.
Pokemon Sun Version
Conveniently the order of my pelago EV training made it so Metagross, Arcanine and Ninetales are all done already so I can use them for the Battle Tree. I managed to break my record of Battle 12, and promptly got swept by a Garchomp on Battle 13.
Fortunately it was enough for me to buy the Metagrossite, as a result I beat the Singles Challenge (20 Rounds). Now I've gotta do the Super Singles which might kick my ass. I'll probably get to see actual characters in Super. Maybe the BP rewards will be greater too, I got 20BP straight up from beating Red which was nice.
I'm also very glad I dumped some EV's into Ninetales' HP since it's been able to tank hits better when switching in. and Arcanine is there to look cool.

Probably just gonna slowly hyper train all my pokemon, and then never use them for the Battle Tree anyway. It was fun the first time, and okay the second time, but the last couple of times haven't been particularly engaging. Might go back and finish Yellow some time soon instead, I kind of left it right in the middle of the game again.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
I just had the urge to play again. My NG+ file was only an hour or so in so I just kept going with that. This is probably the only game that I kind of enjoy talking to random npc's. Music is still nice.

well i guess this ending was the "hououin kyouma" route.
im pretty sure that there should be a continuation from this ending technically because of rintaro's reading steiner but i guess they decided against showing us that
instead apparently "the d-rine was sent" so i guess i have access to more endings now
i also saw ending f which is the generic vn bad ending. i guess that route wont make it into the anime because its pretty pointless lol, and none of the "bad" endings from the first game made it into the anime either (i guess ending c is an important step towards the true ending so i think theyll incorporate it into the anime somehow)
and boy was this a great ending lmfao
we got some good old kyouma action of the most exquisite breed and oh my god i love that guy so much (not so much rintaro, hes a great mc as well but hes literally only half as good without his crazy schizophrenic fucking persona)
also lol i saw 2/6 endings and im at 30 hours though. may god have mercy on my soul (even though i think ive been through the most heart wrenching moments by now)

i feel like its all going to come together soon though (just guessing that i really only have 1 path left and that the true ending will continue on from ending b)
