What game did you last play?!?!?!?

Splatoon (Global Testfire)

I missed the first hour, but I happened to be awake for the second. I might participate in the third if I'm not busy. Anyway, it was a lot of fun. I alternated between using the Splattershot and the Splat Roller. The Splattershot Jr's range was too short for my liking, and I'm not the sort of player who likes to stand still in these types of games, so the Charger, while useful, wasn't fun to use. Motion controls were in the tutorial, but I turned them off before I got into a match (they work, but I don't want whether I live or die to be determined by the direction the GamePad's facing). On the subject of matches, they're pretty hectic, especially with the limited weapon selection in the demo, but none of them gives any individual Inkling an unfair advantage if you know how to exploit their weaknesses (teamwork is essential).

Puzzles & Dragons: Super Mario Edition

Tutorial dragged on a bit much for how simplistic the game is, but I had a good time. 1-4 was kind of annoying because you needed to stall on it to unlock the Koopas' Elemental Shells which got harder the more you failed (thanks to level ups), but got access to them, made it to the splitting point and used them to make it to the secret exit.

Definitely has that Mario feel incorporated, and after playing what this was based on they actually altered quite a few things. First world beaten, I don't feel too challenged but it was kinda entertaining, it'll probably get more interesting later.

Puzzles & Dragons Z

Definitely appreciating the more RPG-esque feel (quests, NPCs you can talk to in an actual town, etc) from this version, although the dungeons (as opposed to the SMB Edition's levels) tend to drag on more from experience, which is kind of eh but probably just arose because I did the whole first area in one go.

Neither of these are games I could really play for long, not doing that again with either of them.

Block Boy

Still enjoyable, and it seems by World 8 (barring challenges) things have actually gotten kinda technical, I had to think on 8-3 for a bit. 8-5's crown seems very tricky and I refused to clear a stage without all the crowns, so I just rage-quit decided to stop there for now.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS

Playing Smash Run since 7:00 trying to get custom moves. I now have all of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser and Yoshi's moves.

Civilization V

playing as Japan. was tempted to go with le iraquois but the Japanese have that bushido skill/ability/whatever-it's-called so I went with Japan. declared war on Germany because he bitched about one of my cities being near him. we duked it out and I made him sign a peace treaty. in restrospect, I probably should've went ahead and entirely wiped out his armies since I was dominating the war but w/e. also i'm on pretty good terms with China who, as i've discovered, has barely any army which means it's time to betray and all out invade her.

You should play Japan with the map fo uhhh, I forgot what it's called, but it's literally nothing but 1-4 space islands. You can get some nice bonuses from them as Japan.
i'll probably do that when i'm done current run then

Civilization V

wiped Germany off the map. Warsaw actually declared war on him too but they didn't do shit wtf. China denounced me shortly afterwards.

Either way, you and I both. It just doesn't feel the same reaching the end and then backtracking to find missing collectibles.

I'm thinking about getting the game. Would you recommend?

The last game I played was Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Really rewarding game when I take into account the mission objectives. It's also a game I have finished, so now all that's left is the bonus content.

I must say, completing the mission objectives for the last-third and the last level are very difficult. The basically involve getting a lot of coins, so you cannot miss certain essential parts of the stage. The last third level is very hard on account of requiring some good timing or else I lost my step, and the blowing in the mic is essential since some coins can only be found on what I need it for. The final level has an invisible checkpoint, and if I die after going past there, the mission objective is impossible to achieve unless I go through the stage in one go.

Thanks for reading.

Skyrim

MY COMPUTER ACTUALLY RUNS IT \o/. anywho I chose wood elf b/c apparently they're good archers. i've only made it to Riverwood so far.

NES Remix

I was bored so I started with this game that was still on my wii u. More fun than I had remembered.

Ys Book 1&2

The Darm Tower is hilarious for some reason.

The Story of the game so far is that I got 3/6 Ys Books, and the remaining ones are appearently in this huge-ass tower filled with the most dangerous enemies ever.

So the townspeople decided to install a one way gate which lets people in but nobody ever gets out

so when you appear there there's like 5 other people stuck in the tower since months and it's pretty fun and also for some reason funny. I believe this dungeon has at least 30 floors, your equipment gets stolen after a while and no way to get back to the town. Better got the heal ring or else you're fucked in this tower. I played up to Floor 11 so far.

Final Fantasy X

Despite my pure hatred for Tidus, I love this game

wait for the like second half (after I think the encounter with Seymour in the Guado city), the game really picks up speed then.

Totally, it's pretty fun, doesn't appear to be too short (still a bunch of worlds after this) and it's really intriguing how far they can stretch the depth of the main mechanic.

box boy's on my 'games i would download if i actually had enough spare money to purchase eShop credit for a game i really wanted and ended up having enough leftover credit for something else after that' list

it's a long list :<

Super Smash Brothers for Wii U

god this game's lack of substantial modes is killing me. I really want to enjoy Smash Wii U because of it's amazing roster and fucking gorgeous visuals but all I do is go back and forth between Crazy Orders and local Smashes and it ends up becoming a grind-fest for customs, which isn't fun.

If I'm really desperate, I play smash tour with the hopes of getting coins/crazy orders passes/customs, only for something completely stupid to happen (e.g. the fucking POW block trophy) like five turns in and make me remember why i hate smash tour

I can't exactly remember how i managed to keep myself occupied in brawl but at least it had subspace. if anything, subspace was different

My smash bros. SP experience has always been mostly 1 vs 1 match vs the CPU and that hasn't changed, but the New and Improved classic mode structure really bites.

ya. both classic mode and all star are responsible for the near-impenetrable wall of blue panels at the top of my challenges board because the challenges associated with both modes just suck. i haven't attempted to clear all-star on hard with all characters (yet alone one) out of fear of possibly irreversible psychological damage.

clearing classic 9.0 with one character was bad enough ty
