Our officials are getting an official raise soon. Man, I wish people would shit money at me for sitting around all day, telling people on the phone that they're not in charge and have to redirect the call to someone else, who is also not in charge and has to redirect the call to someone else, who is also not in charge and (...)
Incidentally, that is very relevant to what I've been doing today.

Went over to my friend's house. Since we had to wait for the Wii U to update, we played some NES (the guy has pretty much every major console from Nintendo, Sega, and Sony. It's scary.) He also lent me his box set of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, which is awesome.

Just ragequitted MK7. I freaking managed 1st place on all four races in 150cc Leaf Cup, and it only gave me two stars for that! God, now I know it will be hell to get 3 stars on every race in the game.

Yeah it's kind of a pain. I had the same issue.
Make sure you are in 1st place for at least 90% of the race and try to not get hit by items at all if possible.

Wow, what a bunch of pricks.
Yeah, that's a pain in the ass (hence the if possible part) since it's nearly impossible to avoid. Maybe try different kart combinations, one with acceleration if getting hit puts you back too far so you can reclaim first quicker.
