Welp, Windows once again had a bluescreen error (specifically, UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME). I'll be inactive until I can manage to resolve this problem.

So I've been thinking, I'm supposed to be a Christian, I'm not going to be wasting my life with forums, chatting, or pony stuff. So don't expect to see me online again, but I /may/ still watch MLP: FiM.

Eh, being a Christian shouldn't limit you from any of that stuff. But... seeya I guess?
 
I'm not really sure how being a Christian should prevent you from enjoying that stuff either, (Probably because I'm a Christian who's been a part of the community for a year and a half) but eh, it's your call. If you are leaving, then goodbye.

This post reeks heavily of "my mother wrote this for me because she caught me on a mario forum, so now she's mad".

There's this magical thing we call "self-control".

It allows us to enjoy what we like, but keep it in a controlled state so we don't get dependent on it. And christians can have it too. :D

For some reason, many christians seem to think that honoring the life and philosophy of Jesus Christ and enjoying things is mutually exclusive. This is not true. It's merely the result of poor teaching.

Also, on the addiction topic: Addiction is something that doesn't come from a specific medium. It is a character flaw that stems from yourself. Removing yourself from the medium you were addicted to will not cure your addiction. If you do not identify and combat the essential flaw that has caused the addiction in the first place, you will just get addicted to something else.

And don't think you can prevent this by avoiding every type of entertainment, because you can get addicted to pretty much anything.
 
The forums and chatting aren't really a problem, it's really just the ponies. I mean look at me, I was on EqD, MLP Wiki, deviantArt ponies, pony music, etc.

How exactly does any of this relate to each other? Like Edo said, you can be Christian and enjoy life.

My dad said that I'm addicted to Pokemon but eh, we all know what he thinks...

Yeah, if you think that's too much, then you should definitely cut it back. But if you do, then do it for your own sake, not for the sake of what you believe christianity entails.

Because the way you make it sound, it seems like this is about how someone told you being christian means abstain from fun things. oô
 
I decided, I /may/ still be active on the forums, I /may/ still watch MLP, but I'm going to try to stay from internet ponies, but that all depends if I'm going to get my laptop back from my parents.
