The Official "I'm going away/coming back!" Thread

Good luck to both of you.

I've found a bit of time to come on. For a couple days, I'll just be stopping by, maybe in chat for a little while.

Not going to talk about what's caused this, but I will say it's nothing serious. Likely will return to regular time in a week and a half or so.

Not relevant to the community necessarily, but I'm going to be active on Steam again!

Neat! Why did you go inactive on there, anyways?

In that case, I'll have to re-add you. I deleted you when you became inactive to save friend space.

Because of the switch between computers that occurred throughout last year. But now I use my bro's Mac, and have my own user account. So given the opportunity, I reinstalled Steam.

Things got worked out pretty quickly, so I'm back.

Mom and Dad had a dispute over finances, but it got settled surprisingly fast.

I'll prolly be on frequently again in about a week, we still got a bit more to settle.

Unless I find a away to get online, I will be inactive until from Thursday 4th April to Friday 13th April as I will be going to Orlando, USA.

I've been grounded for signing out of Twitter, so don't expect me to be on as much.

Wait what.

Hope your grounding ends soon Nabber, or that something amazing happens while you're grounded and you have the best time ever.

Sometimes my parents look at the Twitter on my iPad and comment on my (along with my friends') tweets, so I decided to log out. According to my mother, she almost never looks at my Twitter so she doesn't care about that, but she takes offense to me signing out.

Oh yes, and:
my father said:
"You have no privacy in this family and you can quote me on that."
I copied this verbatim, by the way.

Someday when you reach the magical age of 18 you will know the true power of freedom.

My father kinda gave up trying to track whatever I was doing because either a. he realized i wasn't really doing anything or b. he's too busy trying to cover his tracks from the federal government.

Nabber, you have awful parents.

And don't think I'm saying that as some teenager thinking "omg no fair he got grounded!!!!11!!!!111!!!!!11!11oneone". Having seen the way they pressure you academically and watch over you constantly, it's clear that they fail to see the fact that their pressure is unreasonable and unnecessary. Unless you've had run-ins with law enforcement, I see no reason for your parents to be able to let off a little bit. To me, it means they think they don't think they've raised you well enough to be able to loosen up and let you do some things for yourself.
