whats your pokemon party

But Magikarp has the worst moves.

At least it's good for something after it evolves. Kricketune isn't good for much except a spot in the Pokedex.

I know, Magikarp is awful, but when you get the duck and the ring then it will all be rewarded.

I started Pokemon Platnium today. Current party (currently training everyone)

Chimchar Lv. 12 (training)
Machop Lv. 14 (leaving party soon, got him only for the first gym)
Shinx Lv. 11
Staravia Lv. 14
Kricketot Lv. 8 (training)
Okay do you seek out the worst Pokemon in the game?

The Shinx and Starly families aren't bad. I used them myself my first time playing Platinum.

Having worst moves doesn't mean it's the weakest Pokémon around.

Thanks for the advice. I actually dropped him a while ago and replaced him with Buizel.

I never used a spare fighting type because I always make Chimchar evolve before the first gym.
Even so, I still got a spare fighting type just in case.

Bump?

I'm now going through the E4 in White with Jellicent, Terrakion, Chandelure, Thundurus, Volcarona, and Hydreigon.

I have no idea why they made Catilin so easy.

Also in LeafGreen I'm only training Jolteon and Blastoise; I'm about to face Sabrina and Koga and both of them are about Level 50.

Catilin was actually pretty challenging for me (I still beat her each time, but she does take out a good portion of my team). It's her Reuniculus and that focus blast move that gets me each time (poor Excadrill and Cinccino).

Ah, Excadrill... the apple of my team's eye.

That guy was the one reason I beat Ghetsis with no trouble on my first run-though.

Sandstorm + Swords Dance = Unstoppable for five turns.

Oh that's cool. I'm actually raising my first Excadrill at the moment, and I am currently at the Elite 4 as well. I guess that's pretty comforting (Excadrill is a pretty good Pokemon with his excellent attack stats and decent speed).

Yeah, Excadrill is great. Unfortunately my new team isn't Sandstorm-focused, so I dropped him. But he was useful while I had him.

And you say he has decent Speed? In a Sandstorm he doubles his speed, outspeeding Deoxys-S.

Yeah.

Well I am a guy who generally uses speedy Pokemon (such as Cinccino and Emolga), so I guess that I did not appreciate Excadrill's base speed so much. And that's awesome, I was not aware of Excadrill's doubled speed in Sandstorms.

I generally use speedy Pokemon too, but recently I've begun to appreciate some "wall" Pokemon in Gen V such as Ferrothorn and Jellicent. My favorite speedsters are probably Weavile, Aerodactyl, and Jolteon.

Excadrill's double speed is thanks to his ability Sand Rush, which doubles his speed in a sandstorm.

Also, I just joined Smogon and posted a link to my competitive team here.

I never pay attention to stats i catch pokemon based on what i want not what has the best final stats
