I just created an unstopable combo team containing:

Adamant Charizard (HEAT WAVE HEAT WAVE! When in doubt Overheat+ Some Herb/Power Orb

I really hope you have a counter to anything that sets up stealth rock or use stone edge/rock slide.

Really not the best of choices.

Personally a better fire would be heatran, magmorter, or chandelure.

Way too many downsides in charizard imo. Although you already have blaziken so not entirely sure on the idea of charizard.
An Adamant Charizard is not one to mess with. My Charizard always has Earthquake and Solarbeam. I think of switching Overheat with Blast Burn soon.

Could be, but charizards stats are rather blew and does horribly against amazing physical attackers that have rock moves, example being tyranitar.

Although he has potential. Life orb could be pretty handy and with the right support he'd be pretty solid.

Clefable/Gardevoir really come to mind in support since both of their move pools are fairly huge and have a lot of support moves.

Actually, does Charizard have will o wisp? That'd nail amazing physical attackers with rock moves pretty well.

Yes it can learn Wil-o-Whisp. Burns are very good against attackers because majority of them have fairly low base Special Attack.

Yeah it is. Certainly roll with that, assuming you don't let someone setup stealth rock. :p

Of course he could come in first but idk

I'm trying to get a Herracross at the Safari Zone so far it's not working

Yes, I have both English and Japanese Rufflets.

Heracross was in Area 4 the last time I played Ruby.Theres will be a 5% chance of finding it.

ALRIGHT FINALLY MY TEAM IS GOING

well for the most part

Gardevoir(support. Calm nature and holding left overs)
Dusknoir(mixing attack and defense, also holding left overs. Nature is adamant/relaxed).
Milotic(tank, resttalk set, holding leftovers and having a calm nature)
MetaGross(Lead. Holding great defenses and attack stat he takes the lead. Holding lum berry and having an adamant nature).
Salamence(Mixed. Holding both special attack and physical attack moves, naive nature and holding life orb).

Heres the real trick here.

I'm in need of a fast special sweeper. I thought accelgor. Posseing a whooping 145 base speed and grand of 100 special attack stat. Also posseing the bug buzz, great for many pokemon. Giga drain for some healing + damage (dudes frail as crap), combining with a set up of spikes, and probably u-turn/focus blast from there.

Anyway, any other ideas for a fast special sweeper are welcome.

Also any ideas for better support would be nice too since Gardevoir has some big glaring issues.

Volcarona's stat total on Bulbapedia:
HP: 85
145 - 192 280 - 374
Attack: 60
58 - 123 112 - 240
Defense: 65
63 - 128 121 - 251
Sp.Atk: 135
126 - 205 247 - 405
Sp.Def: 105
99 - 172 193 - 339
Speed: 100
94 - 167 184 - 328

Thought it was ubers for a minute but after some research, nope!

Will look into it, seems to have 4x rock weakness hmm.

Thanks though, any other suggestions?

Bump.

Currently in White I have:
Volcarona
Excadrill
Conkeldurr
Reuniclus
Ferrothorn
Hydreigon

And I'm trying to replace Ferrothorn with Thundurus.

Volcarona is good after a few Quiver Dances and after you take out their Rock types. Though plenty of Pokemon can learn Rock Slide. You can get a free switch in to Excadrill if they use a Rock-type move because of his 4x Rock resistance.

Don't even forget stone edge/stealth rock.

Especially since there are good stealth rock set ups. Metagross and Aerodactyl come to mind.

Then you got heavy hitters of stone edge from Machamp(100% accuracy with it pertaining to an ability), tyranitar, and the all terrifying rhyperior.
Make sure you got some pretty good partners/support for that. I'm sure there is more stuff to consider though. God, x4 weakness to rock really sucks.

Also hoping you got someone to setup sandstorm for excadrill. With sandstorm his speed gets doubled, he even has potential to outspeed deoxys speed form, which is pretty impressive.

Yeah, but Volcarona can tech up on Sp. Atk moves because of the boost in Sp. Def from Quiver Dance. Excadrill can spin Stealth Rock out of the way so it isn't too much of a problem.

Machamp isn't too dangerous to the team thanks to Reuniclus. With the ability Magic Guard to defend against confusion, he can tank a couple DynamicPunches with his high HP and set up with Calm Mind or Trick Room.

Conkeldurr used Mach Munch. Tyranitar fainted. ^^

Excadrill in a Sandstorm is one of the most broken things in Gen V. One Swords Dance and they're doomed. It even works in the Battle Subway, but I still can't hit Grass types hard enough. Ugh.

Excadrill's Moveset
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Sandstorm
Swords Dance

If I ever get a competitive team, I'll replace Sandstorm with Rapin Spin and put a Tyranitar in the lead.

Or you could always use something like Psychic. Ferrothorn is amazing in stats. Thundorus is kinda weak in defenses.

Yeah, but outspeeds a lot of the Pokemon out there, and is a great sweeper. After he uses Nasty Plot, he can hit anything hard and for neutral or super effective damage. He gets a STAB Thunderbolt and Hidden Power Ice. I'm still restarting to get a Thundurus with great IVs, Hidden Power Ice, and Modest or Timid Nature.

Plus he has the Prankster ability to get priority with Thunder Wave. Icing on the cake.

Yeah you'll certainly need someone with sandstream instead. Can't imagine excadrill swicthing into something like rhyperior/blaziken/heatran/etc.

Only to set up and having the next attack being a huge flip of a coin.

Personally Tyranitar is a pretty good idea for lead too thanks to his mighty bulk, even with that x4 weakness to fight.

Of course I recall there being plenty of good support for tyranitar leads anyway.

God I love'em.

Tyranitar has Sand Stream. Makes for good sandstorm teams like follows:

Tyranitar
Excadrill
Ferrothorn
Reuniclus (Sandstorm damage blocked by Magic Guard
Landorus
Heatran or Skarmory

Tyranitar sets up Stealth Rock and the sandstorm. Plus he can hit Psychics with Pursuit or Crunch.
Excadrill sweeps
Ferrothorn sets up Spikes and Leech Seed or Toxic Spikes
Reuniclus sets up with Trick Room or Calm Mind
Landorus sweeps
Heatran or Skarmory I haven't used either of these but they seem pretty useful. Skarmory uses Whirlwind to switch people into the entry hazards.

Oh yeah I know, I was really commenting on Excadril using sandstorm.

I am looking for ideas for items for most of them, I'm thinking about a Choice Scarf or Choice Specs for Chandelure.

I would like to teach Excadrill Rapid Spin to replace Sandstorm but I don't have anyone else who can use Sandstorm.

I am also looking to maybe replace Chandelure for a physical pokemon, as my team is rather special heavy. I am also looking for a better physical to use than Conkeldurr. Oh, and they all need to be Gen V Pokemon.

I thought about that, but Serperior is really bad at attacking. My battle strategy usually involves hitting my opponent as powerfully as possible as quickly as possible, and Serperior just doesn't fit it. Everyone on this team either has a strong offense to start with or has a tech-up move to boost it's stats, preparing it to "sweep" the opponent's team.
