  • Knowing how to draw is probably the skill I most want to have, but I don't mind that I don't because there are other creative outlets I enjoy

If you ever do decide you want to pursue it, make sure to practice frequently! It doesn't have to be a lot but it'll build up and you'll see yourself improve over time. Tracing over images can also be really helpful to get a better grip on things as you learn.

This is good advice. I would like to add, rather than tracing over images, try to place the image in front of you and copy the lines by eye. Tracing directly usually turns you into a passive observer and you don't get a good feel for how the shapes and lines interact. You just don't absorb a lot of information when your mind is not actively engaged.

And remember one thing: for the purposes of training yourself, there's no shame in copying a photograph or even someone else's work. I'm specifically touching the topic of shame because I've seen a lot of budding artists worrying over the use of reference, and I've even stumbled upon certain concerning attitudes regarding this practice, some labeling it "cheating". If it's educational, it's ok. I'm unwilling to call the greatest artists, dead or alive, "cheaters" for learning off the shoulders of others, for in art, there's no step too piteous to achieve greatness. Just "monkey see, monkey do" this whole thing until you feel like you're grasping the practice well enough. It's human nature.

(But if you copy someone's work, do not *ever* pass it off as your own. Just for the record.)
I'm actually heartbroken. I tried to buy a Cheez It Hawaiian shirt but it was out of stock. I have no words to express my emotions. That shirt was the last piece of fashion on the internet that suited my style.
You know you live in a pretty short town when you're in the top 3 tallest people at your school (students and staff included) and you're only 6'3"
I survived my first day of school! Today is especially important to me because I've been homeschooled my whole life beforehand, and this year is my first year at public school. It's a huge change, but I think it'll be an ok experience.
The classic "pull your phone out of your pocket after a year of having it without sustaining any damage and the screen is randomly shattered for literally no reason"
My grandfather got me some kind of Dell HyperSuperMega Service subscription for my laptop so I got a technician to come to my house from 200 miles away and replace my keyboard and touchpad for free because my touchpad was slightly broken!!
Ok. I remembered the complicated thing I was gonna say. I was pondering the matter of things, as one does, and I came upon a question. Out of the five human senses, which ones exist quintessentially throughout the universe? For instance, are smell, texture, or taste basic qualities of all matter, or are they simply the way we perceive our environment? And, to the same extent, does sound actually exist universally? All I know is that light definitely exists universally.
Ok guys I'm back. Kind of. Turns out the laptop charger I bought is a counterfeit but whatever. I can't afford the oem one. And I have a bad cold so I can't think straight. Such is life
My parent's dog chewed my laptop charger into oblivion today so i had to buy a replacement (she destroyed my expensive sunglasses as well today). I managed to get on the internet on another device just to let you know about this but you probably wont see me on here for a week or so until i get my laptop running again

We have a dog that likes to chew things too. He even got my headphones yesterday! Thankfully he just grabbed them and didn't actually try to bite/chew on them.
After spending 5 minutes typing up some basic feedback to Microsoft about the Windows 11 taskbar, I signed in to my account to send the feedback only for Microsoft to delete my paragraph and tell me I'm too young to tell them anything 💔
In the midst of an internet where you constantly run into things that are depressing or misleading, Mario Boards, somehow, is consistently constructive and cheerful, in a matter-of-fact sort of way. That's one of the reasons I'm happy to call it home.
When you realize your age confusion goes to the point that someone wrote 17 on your 16th birthday card before scribbling it out and writing 16
