    My favorite relevant Gamer Bro thing is them not realizing that the historical notion was that programming was a woman's job...... until it was profitable and now it's a man's job and yet the Gamer men think that, after kicking women out, initiatives to recruit women to get into programming is sweet baby inc. DEI woke politically correct affirmative action SJW cultural Marxist [insert right wing umbrella buzzword used to demean pretty much anything these guys don't agree with] and they're ruining programming which in turn is ruining the Gamer toys.

    Oh also maybe it's worth pointing out that Barbie Fashion Designer outsold DOOM at the time.

    i wonder if the people expecting a 3ds-like fumble with the switch 2 (tariff bullshit notwithstanding here) remember that the reason WHY the 3ds stumbled at first was because there was FUCK and ALL to play on it from both nintendo and third-parties.

    the first 'must get' game from nintendo that was something that would appeal to more than just the serious nintendo fans was mario kart 7 in DECEMBER 2011 and the 3ds launched in february/march 2011

    I feel that Nintendo wanted to ensure that the situation is better for them, when it's not just that Mario Kart would be available at launch, but another big game (with no new games in a very long time) Donkey Kong Bananza being ready in the following month.

    So it's certain that it's not going to be like the 3DS where it was expensive without a lucrative game to play at or near launch.

    I think the reason I'm not as phased by the higher prices than others is because I'm a Lego fan, and have you seen those prices?! I'm just used to extremely high prices my favourite companies charge that cause lots of controversy.

    @Stanley I actually kind of think highness or lowness of prices has often to do with quality. The more quality something is and the more workmanship goes into it, the higher it's priced. Because the more complex and beautiful something is or well-made something is, the more work and effort the people that made it had to put into it.

    that is literally not what empiricism is. you are literally saying that a fundamental part of the scientific method is dumb. you are literally saying that 'yeah having to actually observe something to see if it is true' is dumb.

    @Princess Viola I didn't know it had to do with the scientific method. I thought it was a generalization about stuff in general. Because a lot of philosophies are. At least the ones I've studied. One previous course I took in my online college as an elective had to do with philosophy. Thank God I never have to do that again. It was confusing and complicated.

    @Princess Viola My mom is very intelligent and took a lot of philosophy classes when she was in college too, and she didn't understand what the philosophers were talking about half the time either, which is reassuring because it at least proves I'm not stupid and that's not why I don't understand a lot of the philosophy stuff LOL. I've heard it's hard to understand for a lot of people.

    I agree with Shoey that the show had a banger theme song, but other than the amazing voice-over team up between Jim Cummings and Tom Kenny for the titular chracter and the absurd concept, there wasn't anything too special about it.

    Hey Princess Viola I was wondering do you and other users on here miss physical media? I don't think it deserved to die. And I don't think it should have. Now everything is on digital and you need to pay for it to watch it, and streaming services like Disney+ and Discovery+ and HBO Max and Hulu and Paramount+ and Peacock are as expensive as cable once was and the problems with cable that digital media was SUPPOSED to solve instead are now bleeding over to digital media. Back in the day, we could get something and own it forever, and watch it and re-watch it whenever we want without having to repay. Nowadays, we all own NOTHING. And if we want to re-watch something (everytime we want to re-watch it), we have to pay for it AGAIN. And again. And again. And again. Ugh...I tell you, it's not fair.
