  • You know, the voice for my different colored Baby Luigis that eventually kicked off into their own characters, yeah? Redshift specifically, from the Spanish dub of Nick from Left 4 Dead 2?

    1. He's the Spanish announcer for Mario & Sonic at the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Tokyo 1964 mode specifically with the 8 bit characters.
    2. He was in fucking KREED. KREED. Out of all games. Specifically the Spanish dub for it.

    This means several things:

    1. Redshift is the only Protector who canonically officially acknowledged Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Sonic, Tails, Eggman, and Knuckles.
    2. What the fuck were you doing in Kreed, Redshift!? Why??????
Just a reminder that Baby Wario exists

I still think the babys in the mario series are going through a lot... I mean is it normal for a baby driving a car?!
What if Baby Luigi had a game with a bird that would help him solve puzzles and destroy bosses similar to Beat in Mega Man?

JUST SO YOU KNOW, I PERSONALLY DON'T MIND PYRA AND MYTHRA BEING IN SMASH. I CAN SEE WHY PEOPLE WOULD BE TURNED OFF BY THEIR DESIGNS, THOUGH. IN MY OPINION, THOUGH, I DON'T THINK ANYTHING REALLY CAN BE OVERSEXUALISED. IT'S JUST WHAT YOU DO WITH IT THAT COUNTS. I'll ALLOW YOU TO KEEP YOUR OPINION IF YOU WANT TO. I HOPE WE'll BE ABLE TO SET OUR DIFFERENCES ASIDE AND STILL BE FRIENDS.
I have a decently powerful system that can probably run any game (though not at max settings for the most intensive ones that require like an RTX or something).

So games do I play to test the limits of my machine?

What annoys me about every time a new Mario Tennis and/or Mario Golf game is announced that a legion of bitter people online berate Camelot for developing that instead of a JRPG franchise that has been dead over a decade ago.

It's the same discourse every time, why don't they develop the game I like instead of that other game I think no one else likes?

I'm mostly referring to a particular legion of people who calls Mario Golf / Tennis terms such as "shovelware" or "shitty sports game".

But honestly, it's around time to move on at this point. It's been dormant for over a decade and there simply hasn't been enough interest for a revival of the series; in addition, Shining Force, another JRPG they worked on, hasn't seen an entry since 1998, which is even more dormant than Golden Sun. It's like expecting SEGA to make another Dynamite Headdy game at this point and it's simply not realistic expectations. I wouldn't get angry if the next game Camelot announced was a Shining Force sequel, or a Golden Sun sequel, or even a new JRPG altogether, but that's setting yourself up for disappointment.

Their portfolio has been mostly corporate-mandated Mario sports games sure but that's mainly because it's their bread and butter and they make a good, tasty bread and butter if they are given the time and effort required, similar to how Nd Cube does primarily party games. Mario Tennis 64, Mario Golf 64, Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and Mario Power Tennis are legit good, and there are hints of brilliance in even Mario Tennis Aces. I liked Mario Tennis Open. World Tour is a very good Mario Golf title. I think they poured a lot less effort in their games since World Tour though.

Why the need for "corporate mandated" adjective? Is Golden Sun not "corporate mandated" either? Why assume motives for Mario Golf and Mario Tennis to be wholly cynical? This is like saying Intelligent Systems making Fire Emblem is corporate mandated for not developing enough WarioWare or Advance Wars; or Next Level Games's Luigi' Mansion games to be just part of a corporate queue because they didn't make Punch Out for years.

That being said they are well overdue for a new Golden Sun but no need to come off as attacking Mario Golf? Mario Golf is still probably going to end up as a well made game as well as Mario Tennis Aces. I'd like a new Golden Sun, that'll be cool. But I like Mario Golf too.

Mario is an extremely recognizable and potent brand that sells games and all manner of merchandise. On the other hand, I can't say I've seen a single Isaac plushie ever in my life. There is overall much more demand for Mario-related products and Nintendo recognizes that. Yes, Golden Sun may have been corporate-mandated in the same way every game published by Nintendo had to be given the go ahead before it got developed and released, but this hasn't been the case since the DS, and the term is colloquially used to refer to things that executives put much financial faith into which is the meaning I've employed here myself. In that sense, while the motives behind Mario sports games aren't wholly cynical (else we'd end up with Mario Golf: Modern Warfare 1 and 2 on the same console), saying that they're "corporate-mandated" isn't a wrong statement when you compare the release frequency of both this particular franchise and Golden Sun.

I'm also not attacking Mario Golf (though, unrelated to the discussion here, it never appealed to me as much as tennis does). I'm just trying to lay some objective observations forefront.

Hoo boy I'm finally done with this image. This was supposed to be my piece for a Valentine's Day theme but obviously there were delays.

I started this I think in the last two weeks of January (damn computer "date created" date is unreliable), and then suffered computer issues with both the hard drive and the PC before I could get it done. Fortunately the data was recoverable so I could finally work on it again and I'm glad I've gotten it done (I also got distracted a lot which delayed my working on it). Had a lot of fun "painting" this with the smudge tool and the dodge/burn tool and I'm glad it turned out like this.
Excuse me? Why did you choose that red guy instead of the all-mighty, the legendary Ray Trace?!

Wait, I thought Konny (Or UV?) was the buff one.

Kontrast is indeed buff and he can lift, but his endurance is very low, so if he gets slapped on the face by Ray Trace he will get super pissed.

Ultra Violet is the opposite of buff. He's the toxin specialist so he's more about status spreading and group healing abilities than physical strength.

Ohohohoho what do we got here?

Yes, I have a computer now! Only thing that irked me is that they stuffed all the cables into the part where the HDD is supposed to go, and I have no idea how to rewire this.

What's left is the return of my data drive and maybe some reinstallations and I could probably go back to normal, but with a better compy now.

Also if you go for either of the two coolers, you'll have to get a retention bracket and backplate for it so you can clip these coolers on.

I mean, yeah buying a PC can be cheaper than building one. Building a PC does give you flexibility for upgrades since you can change out the motherboard and CPU and RAM if they fail. You also can upgrade the GPU on your own terms and you put whatever you like in it. You don't have to have bloatware in there as you get with HP, Dell, Lenovo, etc. Also, you get to overclock which you rarely get with a prebuilt. Buying the components can get somewhat expensive. My whole build cost $1500 with the 32GB RAM and everything. The MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk motherboard or a Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro motherboard are good budget boards that you could have went for along with a Ryzen 5 3600XT which is great for overclocking and maybe have 32GB RAM along with a good NVMe SSD. The PSU would still work unless if it was on its way out.
