Wii U

Zelda HD looked aesome, I would love that game

One thing I am annoyed about: one controller. Sure, you can play with Wiimotes, but without the 2 joysticks, multiplayer is limited to online. :(

Actually, it supports two of those new controllers. It'd be cool to see some 6 player games, with Mario Kart or Mario Party.

I haven't heard about that. Well, even if it does, the controller is kind of too expensive to buy another. A friends would have to bring over one.

From what I've read, they're trying to enable support for two controllers.

I read on the wiki that it will support two controllers

Here:

http://www.pnosker.com/video-games/wii-games/1210-e3-2011-you-can-use-2-controllers-with-wii-u

It states that it will have two controllers

http://kotaku.com/5812512/multiple-wii-u-controllers-are-a-cost-issue

And Iwata-san says it's "a cost issue". Apparently, it is possible for the Wii U to support multiple controllers.

If there isn't another controller to use, it almost makes me not want to buy it.

There's always online. And I would buy it for the same reason I bought the 3DS: all the amazing games.

Cool. I will be glad if two controllers are supported. BLOF and I are usually the only ones who play.

Yeah. Well, it looks to me as if Wiimotes will still be in play, so we'll always have that. But without the other joystick...

I don't see the advantage to having only two controllers. With the last three home consoles supporting 4-player, Nintendo gamers would be left in the dust in terms of multiplayer. And online won't help, because you won't neccesarially know who you are playing with.

Nintendo has send us more info about the Gamescom 2011.
They'll be showing Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi's Mansion 2, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Rhythm Heaven, Kirby Wii, and Zelda: Skyward Sword.
These games were all available at Nintendo's Post E3 Event too, plus more, but the difference is: Everyone will only have a total time of 1 hour and 30 minutes, vs the 3 hours at the Post E3 Event.

Why do I post it in this thread?
Because they've also said that the Wii U is not playable at the Gamescom, so yet again, I won't be able to get my hands on the Wii U.
But I think Nintendo will have another Event in 2012, which will feature the Wii U, so that's pretty much the same as 2 Events about the 3DS this year (one in January, and one in February).

Nintendo is making another Kirby game for the Wii? I want that game so badly!

Yes, I played that Kirby game at Nintendo's office, during Nintendo's Post E3 Event.
The gameplay feels like the good old versions of Kirby, and people can join the game anytime they want, by simply connecting another controller to the Wii.
Player 1 is Kirby, Player 2 is Meta Knight, Player 3 is King Dedede, and Player 4 is a Waddle Dee.

Do the characters play differently? Because I know for a fact that a Waddle Dee cannot inlahe, and thus cannot use the Copy Ability (no mouth, remember?) And I saw a Waddle Dee as an enemy in a screenshot when I looked it up.

I've only saw the multiplayer, as I was playing it alone (the others were playing Xenoblade, Zelda, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi's Mansion 2, and Kirby's Mass Attack while I played Kirby Wii, and the Nintendo Staff were talking to the rest).
However, I did play with a Nintendo staff, but that was another game, and she explained how the puzzles work.

The thing is, I wish online multiplayer was improved. Friend codes are such a hassle and they're annoying.

If nintendo will bother to listen to their fans, they would. Unfortunately, I don't know if that's the case. Sometimes you have to take a :tumble:

I hope you won't have to pay for online >_>

Anyway, I don't really care about online, but if it's something that won't hinder me, why not take a shot and improve the online?
