Wii U

Exactly. Game developers don't like to take risks (unless you're Nintendo and they juts do what they want and screw the fanbase over), so they're not investing their time into something like this if they're not sure it's going to be profitable.

Which is weird, because the Saints Row franchise is based on taking risks and demostrating that serious stuff is not the only thing that gamers will buy. Deep Silver is being an idiot, sure, but Nintendo's role is to demostrate third parties that the risk is worth taking and if everything else fails, finance part of the game themselves, like Nintendo of Japan is cleverly doing with Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101, two games designed to capture the hardcore, and something Nintendo of America is clearly failing at.

I still think they could drag nintendo fans into enjoying those games without having to waste $250 or so for an XBox.

We got Ubisoft and Sega so that's a good start.

case in point: udraw when it went to the 360 and ps3

the money lost from that was so bad

it's pretty much believed to be the core reason as to why thq went out of business

We really need something like Sonic Generations on Wii U.

So, when are those "Wii U Accomplishment" things coming?

Uplay?
I don't use Uplay. But how is that related to these.

They're supposed to be like the Xbox 360 Achievements.

Yes and you get free stuff by using Uplay

Sonic Racing Transformed Wii U have achievements too

only two more years until smash bros :D
In the meantime, please consider buying games like Deus Ex to show third parties that the Wii U is a viable console, it's a good game too.

I might, if what ends up in the Wii U version justifies it being twice as expensive as the Steam version (assuming they release it as a regular retail game).

Apparently it includes both DLCs integrated into the main game, completetly changed boss fights, better AI, and, more importantly, off-the-screen play, so if you have no other option, get it. I might get it just for the new boss fights.

Those sound like good incentives to get it on Wii U (I don't have it in any form yet, but if I'm going to get it, which I plan to do, I want my money's worth).

well deus-ex games intend to have good replay value anyway so id probably get it regardless.

Although it would be nice to see if other companies would really put some serious effort into a nintendo console. This didn't really do much with the wii and it was kinda eh.

From NeoGAF:

Boss fights have been revamped with new AI, new level layouts, and the possibility of beating the bosses without ever firing a bullet.
New Game+ with all augmentations carrying over
New augmentation that gives you an enhanced first-person view on the GamePad
Rebalanced energy system that includes the second battery refilling rather than just the first (except on Give Me Deus Ex difficulty)
Toss back grenades by swiping the touchscreen
Hacking, looting, sniping, and menus on the GamePad
Record notes with text, drawing, screenshots, or audio, and share them on Miiverse
Map notes
Off-TV Play
Tong's Rescue and Missing Link DLC included and integrated smoothly into the game (Missing Link originally had to be launched separately from Main Menu despite taking place during the main plot)
Preorder bonus weapons included
Official in-game strategy guide included in the menus, can be accessed at any time
~8 hours of Director's Cut commentary included throughout the world
45 minute "Making Of" documentary
Achievements from base game, Missing Link, and new Director's Cut achievements
Left-handed control schemes (four control schemes in total)
Multilingual support with English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish voice and subtitles enabled (can be mixed and matched)
Enhanced graphics from the Missing Link, including smoother shadows, improvements to lighting and fog, and antialiasing
Upgraded enemy AI
So, yes, it is a really good deal.

You know the Wii U is not doing an excellent job sell wise.

It's because it has not kicked off yet, 3DS did badly at first but then it went up. Once good games for it come out, the sales will rise.

We knew that before

Right now the game I want on Wii U is Batman Arkham City: Armoured Editon mainly because it has all DLC. Amazing Spider Man looks really good on Wii U too.

I have Arkham City Armored Edition. Very much worth it. It's awesome.

Just curious is it cheaper to get Armoured Editon with all DLC included than to get the normal version and buy the DLC seprate?

Well, I have Armored Edition because I don't have a PS3 or XBox. Considering you don't have to buy the DLC, it may be cheaper. Also, the map is more convenient since it's on the game pad, so you don't have to keep bringing up the map on the TV.
